Crossfires Across America #6 - Ozark Mountain Region - June 15-18, 2015
Glad to see you on board! So tell me.. was it the recent menu items that pulled you over?
And I haven't even mentioned that I might be bringing some Alabama road kill possum BBQ baked in the August sun for 3 days.
Just tell me you paper bagged it and are keeping it in a dark closet! I've heard it will melt in your mouth after 6 months like this!
how about one for caa6

And .. your first post! .. Welcome to the forum and the crew..
I'm trying to add a little information to the list - so if you could provide that. Helpful when people start trying to coordinate caravans and stuff.. and makes name tags easier. LOL.
We'll be looking to post up some routes etc. here within the next few weeks.. hoping to nail down some lunch stops and sights along them.
Started making plans for the trek to Eureka Springs in June. We'll take our time & enjoy the locale along the way. Probably will come along the I-40 route (Knoxville/Nashville/Memphis) & then return on a more southern route (Memphis/Birmingham/Atlanta).
Looking forward to this event. Last one we attended was CAA1 in St. Louis.

Eureka Springs sounds like it is in the Klondike......I will find it, and not sure how I will get there, but for me with the crap I have had going on, getting there is the least of my worries....we will be there....not putting this trip off come hell or high water....well hell anyway....lol
Since there are a couple of proposed routes posted, I thought I would add my "proposed" route from Phoenix to Eureka Springs.......
Total miles -@1260miles Hours - @19.5 hrs
Phoenix to Flagstaff. Travel on I-40 east thru New Mexico, Texas, crossing into Oklahoma to Tulsa. pick up US412 out of Tulsa to Arkansas, and then to Eureka Springs.
Will probably make 2 stops on the way to be determined. Anyone coming from this direction, let's try to hook up and convoy in.
Will probably leave Phoenix on the 13th of June.

I haven't finalized my route plans yet, but will be leaving NC on Saturday, most likely stopover/meet up point looks like somewhere around Nashville, Tn. Then on into Eureka Springs on Sunday.
We'd be glad to travel with anyone coming through Wichita, KS on Sunday, June 14.
It's about a 5 hour drive from here to Eureka Springs......east through southern Kansas on Hwy 400/96 and 160 then to 171 over to 71 outside Carthage, MO. From there heading south on 71 to Rogers, AR and then east on 62 (windy curvey road - the fun part) to Eureka Springs.
Can't wait to get on the road...........this cold weather is no fun @ all.
