Crossfires Across America #6 - Ozark Mountain Region - June 15-18, 2015
Glad to have you with us on this Mark! Starting on a Monday.. gives people the weekend to travel there.. ending Thursday for the trip back. The Dragon makes me work two days then off.. get back from Vacation and back to work for 3 days till the weekend. Splitting up a week like that kinda sux.. LOL.
Plus, You really do not want to be in the region during the weekender traffic jams.
THe place is crawling with Winnie-Bago types.
Just read this for the first time.. I think we've found a run and a leader.. I'll have to check the map to see if we can be back at a reasonable time.. At 130mph shouldn't be a problem..

I would make the run down 123 to 7 and then go west to Fallsville and back north up 21. Aboiut four hours of driving. Lunch in Mount Judea.
This fall I will take a dry run of the route for timing and sightseeing opportunities.
The Bostomn Mountais are stunning.

Put me down as a probable.
TO anyone coming from the East or North east,,,,St Louis is 5 hours from this destination. Four if you stay in Eureka MO near Six Flags.

Monday through Thursday allows everyone to travel to and from the event on a weekend and only use one single Calendar week of work
A very good question.
The answer is Prolly somethng like "that's the way we always didi it."
WE struggled with this question on the First CAA. And Gary's answer was the same conclusion we had. Four days of CAA is hard to make work on a weekend which has only two days. note, the dragon has only two days.
Two days to get there, four days of fun, two days of return and one day to............... REST! Seems a good plan No?

OK, Greg ... mark me down .... as Lorne has said before, "God willing and if the rain don't hurt the rhubarb." Howard, Blaze red coupe.....
It is a 2 day event (Saturday and Sunday) and only more days if people choose to make it more.
(And I'm in charge of the spring event....)
Hmm.. I could probably work with this..
We would be more likely to come if it was during the week also...
