Crossfires Across America #6 - Ozark Mountain Region - June 15-18, 2015
Franc's off road will be a variation of route #1 Roughly the same miles but slightly more than 6 hours.

Wednesday will be shortened for the BBQ.
We will turn east at Boxley and go over to Jasper then south to 123 and east over to Mount Judea. Lunch at Eagle Crest. Rejoin the #1 route at Harrison.
About five hours and less than 200 miles. More like 175. So one full tank of gas should do it.
For those in a quandary, Tuesday route #1 is essentially the same but fewer stops for pictures, more aggressive driving. So four days, four routes.
Enjoy.

Sure looks like a lot of fun for every one.
Greg you and your committee have set up a great G.T.G.
Unfortunately Elaine & Lorne are not going to make it to this meet.
We wish every one a great holiday and will see you down the road in the future Happy journey to all. Lorne

I'll just assume you really didn't mean to say the comment above!
Can you BELIEVE that I'm still single?
You didn't think we were all just going to sit around the pool at the hotel all day did you??
Our group has some High Mileage members but none of them are old couch potatoes when there are twisties to conquer.
When I'm in my crossie, I feel 18 again. I even drive like a teenager.
I do know SOME of the roads around there, I might be moved to lead a shorter run on one or more days.
But I also want to ride right seat with Franc at least once.

Keep in mind, you've seen me drive. It might only be the "once."
Going to miss seeing you two.. Hopefully TMS is on your to-do list..
Thanks for the notice Robert.. will put them in Lorne's slot. (12)
With all our rain and mess.. I did manage to get the coupe out and go truck bed hunting with my son.. I think he enjoyed it as much as I did.. LOL.

On Wednesday I and Jessie will be taking the Eureka Springs & North Arkansas Railway lunch excursion.
It departs the train station at 12:30 for a one hour, 4.5 mile old fashion clickitie-clack adventure.
The meal is served on china (no plastic) and there is a choice of three menu entrees.
website: esnarailway.com
Their representative told me there are about 40 open spots for the dinning car.
If anyone is interested please make reservations by calling (479)253-9623.
Cost is $24. I mentioned there may be others from the "Crossfire" group who may be interested.
I will depart the hotel at 10:00 am heading west to the Thorncrown Chapel (glass chapel) then plan to follow the short route No. 3 Greg has laid out slow and easy around route 187 to Beaver Park and the one way suspension bridge. arriving back at Eureka Springs train station about 12:00 for the 12:30 train departure
Eureka Springs Train Depot
299 N Main St,
Eureka Springs, AR

Please make your reservations.
All Aboard!

Really thinking about doing this. We've taken the train ride w/dinner from Bryson City. Was a relaxing & nostalgic experience.
I would love to do all these runs and the lunch train ride. I'm so excited.... Can't believe we leave in 10 days!!! Better start detailing my car....
