We went to bed Saturday night with the understanding that we would meet in the lobby at 9:00 to figure out the day's run(s) on Sunday.
When we came down to the lobby at 8:30 everyone had left.
The white board had a message to meet at 8:30 at a place we had never heard of "Deals Gap"
Remember this was our first time at Fontana Village.
I would strongly suggest that in the future volunteers that have been to the event several times take the first timers under their wing and help them to plan their weekend runs. Just a thought.....

I think we put "some go to Deal's Gap for breakfast" in the schedule of events for Sunday Morning. This is something that got started a few years ago - it's turned into "Almost everyone goes to Deal's Gap" for Sunday breakfast.
I think we need to just say it from here on forward:
BREAKFAST AT DEAL'S GAP ON SUNDAY - either join us in the parking lot at 9 or just leave the lodge, turn left and go 9 miles to breakfast at the gap - park in the back of the motorcycle resort lot. Sunday groups leave from there.
This will be addressed before the next event.

Sorry that happened Wes. It was suggested we even do a first timer only drivers meeting so if that takes off it will help eliminate things like you experienced also.
And if you were on Dee's email blast list there will be a survey, fill it out with all of your experience.
