Tail of the Dragon 2017 - Friday afternoon BBQ in Franklin
Been talking with Franc for past couple of days. He's shared with me his route to the Mountain Chalet. So I've created a route map that folks should be able to use. (Note: I deleted the map from this posting at the request of the Forum monitors. See Post #74 for directions on how to obtain location info.)

Jim and Trish are semi-retired after doing real-estate and internet business in Florida for years.
Jim loves to flip houses and after many years bought the mountain side in NC and moved into a cabin at it's base. Our first gathering was at that smaller cabin. If you wanted to walk up a very steep mountain side, we got to see the first bit of construction then.
Two years in the making, he designed and built the very unique Chateau.
The lower deck in the second image was built specifically for the Crossfire gatherings.
A family crisis last year, forced the cancellation of the meet. I suspect Jim and Trish will go all out this year.
Jim and Trish love to entertain. Everyone is welcome, especially new comer's. The gathering is intimate, relatively sane, and open to quite conversations to meet new friends. A great way to start your memorable Dragon weekend.. So, if you are new to the Crossfire group,,, don't be shy. The More The Better!!!!
Weather permitting, it will be a great day in the North Carolina woods.

Keep in mind:
The Lodge is a no pets zone, the cabins allow pets but a dog on the lodge will set you back some serious money.
I don't remember any pets in the home where the BBQ is.....

It may be an imposition, I'll ask
Trish and Jim have two LARGE German shepherds who might eat the small pets of our guests.
