Crossfire Fun in the Ozarks (Round 4) / June 23 -27, 2019
Re: Crossfire Fun in the Ozarks (Round 4) / June 23 -27, 2019
Machine Gray - My favorite color. I remember when this was last purchased in 2016. Hopefully he didn't mess it up by modifying it like he hinted back then (my $0.02). In its stock livery, truly an outstanding & rare SRT-6.

Steve left it exactly as it was when he purchased it so it is the same as it was in the photos from 2016. Still has the single Needswings CAI but also came with the original air intake system so it can easily be returned exactly as original.

Well I guessed wrong, but I like this better. Congrats on a great buy.

Had I known you were in Covington, I could have met up with you Bob. Good luck with your purchase!

Picked up this very special Crossfire on Friday in Covington KY kind of on our way to Eureka Springs. It is a 2006 Machine Gray SRT6 Coupe. This is one of only two that were built and sent to USA. The other one was in Puerto Rico and is believed to have been lost there during hurricane Maria in September 2017.
I helped my friend tree Steve buy this special Crossfire back in December 2016. I just bought it from him. I am traveling right now so not at my home computer. Here is a link to that 2016 purchase and photos from back then . . .

I looked again at the pictures from the previous sell. Saw where the wheels looked to have some significant "curb rash" in places. Hopefully, Steve addressed those. Otherwise, you'll have the option down the road to fix those or get new wheels - maybe both!
Anyway, congrats Bob on snatching this rare SRT-6 Coupe up. Can't wait to see it up close one day. Enjoy.
Later,

Ok, radio is installed - got it set up to talk on the radio while I lead/drive at the same time, no more grabbing for the mic or radio while I try to drive.
I'll be wearing a boom mic (blue arrow, hanging on steering wheel), it plugs into the microphone head (green arrow) and I have the Push-to-talk switch on the shift (yellow arrow).
I can drive and talk on the radio without taking my hands off anything.
(The boom mic is not a headset, there is no earpiece, it's just a mic. I have the FRS radio driving the "AUX" input on the JVC am/fm head, so I'll hear everyone thru the six speakers of the car - top down, no problem hearing what you all are saying, even at 65mph. )

Just curious...because of the Hotel's booking schedule, we are rolling in Saturday around 4:00 PM. Anyone else going to be there that early? May be GTG for diner or such...

There are locals nearby and a few others in town but not sure when they will be checking in at Best Western
Hopefully they will post here once they see this

Folks will be driving to Arkansas this weekend; some in small convoys (always a "kick" to do), some as individual cruisers. In any case, folks need to take care and drive safely. This event is special and when we've attended, always a great gathering of Crossfire enthusiasts. Wife & I hate that we will miss this year's event.
Enjoy,
Enjoy,

Glad to hear folks are arriving safe. Lots of thunderstorms & bad weather passed thru that area earlier this weekend.

About 20 of us all went for pizza for dinner at the SkyBar Pizza lounge atop the historic Crescent Hotel built in 1886 here in Eureka Springs
What a great way to end a day of travel and kick off the week of fun
