Default Thinking X-Fire

Hey guys and girls!

Newbie with first post.

Trading two wheels for four... Was waiting for solstice, but wasn't impressed... Always liked the crossfire.

Questions though: will golf clubs (2 sets) fit in the roadster trunk space. (I'll find out tomorrow at my test drive, but would like to know in advance).

What is the coupon at Overstock.com that I read about? I can't find it anywhere on that site. I saw reference to it here twice. (apparently can be used in addition to dealer discounts etc.).

Is $24,900 a good price for a black base roadster?

Thanks for the answers in advance... I'll be lurking and posting until, and hopefully long after my decision is made.

They might fit in the passenger seat with the top down! And you won't get them in the coupe. If you are taking the Xfire to the country club, it better be for a few drinks and dinner. A golf cart has more room.

Can't say about the clubs, up front maybe but as for style and fun... Do it, Topless. It is all in what one wants, I have driven a solstice (my sister in law has one) it is an OK car good looking but very small inside and own a Miata and like it also.. its for sale but will keep my XF. It has plenty of room and power for what I want and EVERYONE wants to look at my car, to the point sometimes on the road it is a pain.

clubs will not fit in the roadsters trunk.

as an avid golfer...my ogio bag barely fits in my coupe... i have to remove my driver & 3 wood for them to fit in on an angle.

the roadster will only accommodate a bag in the passenger seat.

As far as I know, the Overstock.com coupon deal is long over.

I just came back from round of very wet golf. It is raining in NY/NJ. My first time out to golf course with XF. I was pleasantly surprised that it will accommodate 2 bags and 2 pairs of golf shoes with ease. I doubt you can fit 1 in a roadster.
I got my base coupe for 10K below sticker back in January. Looks like it is the same deal for the roadster.

I take my roadster to play golf sometimes and you can get one set of clubs in the front passenger seat but no clubs in the trunk.

Well guys,

Thanks for the replies... I bag in the passenger seat is better than no bag on the bike, but man I wish it, or some other stylish convertible would have just enough space to cram 2 bags in.

I'll be going to test drive later today anyway, but don't know if I'll pull the trigger or wait.

I'll let yunz know.

How about the 350Z or TT Roadster any better luck in the trunk? I know you can fit clubs in the trunk of a C6 Vette Convertible but your also probably close to $55-60,000.
