'05 Base Roadster Pricing
Does anyone know what new ’05 Base Roadsters are selling for in today’s market? My local dealer has three but I would like to know a reasonable and fair price I should look to pay before I go down there.
Thanks,

Picked my 2005 Crossfire Roadster Limited up in April in Pittsburgh, PA for a little under $33,000.00. All three dealers in the area who had convertibles were within a couple hundred bucks of each other. I think now I probably could have done a little better but I was too hot to buy one before summer hit. And it was a good discount off the $40,480.00 sticker price.
If you get one you'll enjoy it.

If there are not going to be any 2006 Crossfires sold in the U.S., and 2005 new Crossfire sales are tanking, is there really going to be a 2007. This drastic reduction in MSRP is a little scary. I just bought three months ago a loaded roadster for $33,000. I thought it was a good deal. Now it looks like I got taken to the cleaners. It's such a fantastic car over the miata-solstice-sky on the lower end and 350Z and Z4 on the higher end. I just don't understand why it isn't a hot seller. I loved it the day it came out. I need to be enlightened by my peers. Is it price??? Is it appearance??? It's a mystery.
I would keep 24 to 26k in mind for the base and 29 to 31k for a limited and go visit the dealership but keep in mind a great rule I learned in retail ... A good deal is one YOU are happy with and once made don't revisit your decision. Don't worry yourself with someone else's deal have fun in your deal. I hope it works out for you, keep us informed!
Just picked up a hardtop yesterday, from the dealer for $19,000 but it had 10,000 miles on it. Best deal in town!
I think the reason these cars don't sell is, practicality, who really needs this car, no one, it's really a useless car for most people, but I love it.
Most people want an SUV or a 4 door camry.

I agree on the pricing issue, with no sales of the 2006 model in the U.S., you are going to see prices coming down on the coupes and roadsters. In my neck of the woods -- Kansas City area -- a used 2004 Limited with 32k miles just sold for $17,995.00 on ebay and there are a few local dealers with used ones in the $20k area. It isn't a family car, it's a weekend car to go cruising in and most people don't have the extra $$ for a weekend XF.
I paid $28.5K when it was all said and done two months ago. Look at Kelly Bluebook.com and go in informed. The 2005 is now a used car as far as the bluebook is concerned and if it has miles on it, more bargaining power for you. The dealers will work with it (they may complain about it a little, but with the factory incentive that was out there {$8K}, they aren't getting hurt).
