Default Roadster Top Maintenance

Does anyone have any suggestions on maintaining the mechanicals of our roadster top? Putting the top down and then back up two or three times a day will see a lot of action over the years. I can't imagine a Chrysler dealer working on my top in three or four years when parts may be impossible to find. My brother has a Sky and only puts his top up if it rains. I've always locked my car when at a restaurant etc and don't feel comfortable leaving my top down when I'm not around.

Between you and I if I owned a Sky I'd also only put the top up if it rained. IMO that car is stunning but they totally dropped the ball on that top design. Its butt ugly (especially the rear window)! I put my top up at the end of each day I use it. It'll keep the wrinkles out of the top and keep it nice and tight. As far as the maintenance on the mechanicals I don't think I'd worry too much, the Karmann factory has been around for a long time and I wouldn't think parts will be impossible to get. Maybe just ask the dealer what if any regular maintenance may be required (not that they'd know). So far mines been trouble free.
