Roadster trunk question
A question for you roadster owners,
I have an '05 roadster. The trunk looks normal when the partition is up so you can put down the top. If you fold the partition down and forward...for max space in the trunk...I noticed that there are motors and other components that are open to view and are not covered-up. I expected they would be covered so things you put into the trunk would not interfere with then...plus...it looks more professional.
Is that the way it's suppose to be? Can someone post some pics of the trunk with the partition folded down.
Thanks,
Ben

It sounds like you are missing a cover for inside your trunk.
Just dropped my partition for the first time since I own the car. If you bend down and look in you can see the whole shooting match. Can the partition be hung further in to cover the motors etc. or is it removable? I'm afraid to start fiddling with it as I've had no problems with the tops function and I'm not looking for any now.
You should not try to alter the cover, as it has safekeeping switches that disable the roof from going down, if not in the proper position. When your top is up, you should be able to engage the cover to block all that wiring and mechanical components.

With the top up...the partition can be left in the up position...giving 3.6 cu feet of trunk room up to the partition...or you can lower the partition and fold it forward where it velcro's to the back wall of the trunk. In this position...you now have 7.8 cu ft of space in the trunk...but in this stowed position...if you now look inside to the sides of the trunk...you can now see wire harnesses, and other exposed frame supports, etc that is not covered like the rest of the trunk...maybe I am missing some cover panels. Can someone verify what you have. Is this normal?
Thanks...Ben
