Wind Screens
Thank you for the welcomes. I just ordered a rear windscreen from: WWW.WindRestrictor.com. It looks like great quality and can be custom etched and lighted with any logo or wording, if you want to spend a few extra bucks. It looks like it will be hot and easy to install. Does anyone have any experience with these? It should be a great attention getter, not that the Crossfire isn't, itself.
Yes,
I bought and installed one a few weeks ago. They are top quality and the light up graphics are awesome at night. They are also very visible in the daytime. You can even pick your own Graphics and sayings. I love it.
Good Luck.

The etching and lighting is a great option, but the products that you mentioned will rattle in the wind at speeds in excess of 80 mph. The Mopar product is superior in fit and finished and can be etched and led lights installed...just my 2 cents.
90+ on a winding road and no rattles, so far. How thick is the material on the Mopar? The thing I like more about Windresister is it doesn't have ugly straps attaching it to the roll bars like most do.
How does one get their etched and lighted aftermarket? I suppose that would cost as much if not more than buying the wind resistor model.
I have a NON-mopar windscreen and it does not rattle or shimmy...but I do have the straps...I don't mind them, and the windscreen works great as is covers the roll bars and cuts down on wind and noise. I like that feature...

Thanks for all of the feedback. I guess different likes and dislikes is what makes the world go round. I just thing all crossfires are hot no matter what each individual likes.
Click on my gallery and you can see the Mopar windscreen. Mounted per CrossfireLtd's directions and I haven't removed it since I installed it. Nice, high quality piece and I like sticking with Mopar accessories whenever possible (as long as they're as good or better than the aftermarket). The straps don't bother me in the least.
The www.windrestrictor.com unit installs in minutes by removing the two little coat hook like pieces behind the seats and reinstalling them with longer screws and the wind screen behind them. The windscreen has a slight bend to it causing the wind to deflect. To light it you can usa a cigar lighter adapter, a battery pack or hook it up direct to tail or brake lights if you only want it to light up when braking.
It does not interfere with the top and can even be seen with the top up, through the rear window. The etched ones are real attention getters. For those of you that might be car club members, it is the modern rear window club plate. It can be done in any graphic.
Check it out !!!
XERACER, let me know how you like it when you get it. Did you order the graphic with lights? I'll try to upload some pictures.

I saw a Mercedes SLK a few months back that had that lit wind screen and as nice as it was online, I thought it depreciated the looks of the car - made it almost cheap looking. Mind you, this is just my opinion.
I was seriously considering getting one because I thought it was neat looking but after seeing one, its not going to happen. The Crossfire is sleek and sexy and the last thing I want to do is add anything that would cheapen my car. So a plain wind screen is the way for me...
