Default 1 Year Ago Today

A year ago today, I became the proud owner of my gorgeous yellow Roadster and I'm in just as much love with it today as I was when I drove it off the lot for the first time.

Now that the weather is getting colder, I can take advantage of the heated seats and hot air blowing on my feet... THIS is what makes living in Florida so great!

And for those that say they can spot a new convertible owner because they are driving around topless when its cold - sorry. I've owned many convertibles and the best time of the year to drive around topless is right now! I love the looks I get from people that are just jealous that they can't be in a hot car like mine!

Congrats on your anniversary. Glad to hear you're still in love with your car.
But, what do you mean turning your heated seats on? You live in Florida.

I agree, the fall of the year is the best time for top down driving. There is just something special about the clean air, smell and crisp feel. It's more fun than when it is hot outside !!! Mine is red and I feel the same way. I only saw one yellow roadster and when I went back, it was gone. Yellow is HOT!

I agree, just keep an eye on your heated seats...if you get a surge of heat all of a sudden they are about to go out.

Hey....you're one lucky lady...it's 45 degrees, raining like cats and dogs, and overall dark and miserable...but, I love my roadster as much today as I did the first time I dropped the top and stepped on the gas even in the dead of winter!

For those of us stuck in the winter doldrums, can we live vicariously through you??? Drop your top, zap the heat, and warm your buns...all with a smile on your face!

Happy Thanksgiving, Sharon! Congrats on your one year anniversary!

I sure hope you mean drive around with the top down. If your driving around "topless" your going to be causing a lot of wrecks. Lol.

Happy anniversary, Sharon!! I know the feeling. I posted almost the exact same sentiments on my own anniversary thread last October 6th. Funny... what other car would inspire a person to remember the anniversary date?

And now, I am on the brink of crossing the 10K mark. Still love it. A lot.

Guess a few more that want to live vicariously through me won't add too much extra effort - first my married friends, now my winter-bound Crossfire friends! Bring it on...

So based on that statement, here is the latest update... Today it will be 70, breezy (9-15 MPH winds) and sunny. And yes, the top will be down (topless is the only way to go!), the seat heater on (this is cold for us people!) and I'll be loving the feeling (with a cold nose to boot)... but I'll be thinking of the rest of you in the cold, cold weather up north.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Eat to stay warm... or drink to stay warm - personally prefer the latter (what a lush, eh?).

Since you're in the area where my parents live, why not drive by their house and ask my mom what her daughter means when she says "ride around topless"! I can see the look on her face now... "not again" is what she would say! [/COLOR]

70 is cold. Wow that's summer weather for us. My car seat warmers don't go on unless it's under 30. Today, we're having great weather; 56 and sunny, sweatshirt weather.

Happy Thanksgiving.

What can I say? We Floridians south of Orlando are wusses when it comes to cold weather! When we lose the humidity, 70 actually feels like its closer to 60 when the wind is blowing in your face!!

But that sure does not stop me from putting on my thick coat, gloves, scarf and ride around with the top down when it gets down in to the 40's!!

Glad to hear you love your Yellow Roadster! My wife has the same color, when she 1st saw it in the showroom, she said "Now that's a Palm Springs car"!!! It is 2 years old and only has 3,500 miles on it. The only things that have been done to the car is a Windscreen, and I had the wheels Chromed (Looks HOT). We do not live in Palm Springs (also HOT), but go to the various Indian casinos in that area. We live in Palos Verdes California, and have only seen 2 other x-fires. It great to have a car that turns so many heads!!

JFK - your wife has great taste!

3,500 miles in 2 years? Wow - I'm 10K higher then you in just one year... but then again, this is my only ride and I do take the longest way to get home, to work, to every where... and all because I can!
