venting
Sorry guys and gals, I have to vent a little. In my time I have owned well over 100 automobiles from the 1930s to my 2005 Crossfire Roadster. Many of them I paid $100.00 or less for and wish I had them back because they are now worth a fortune. It saddens me to read some people being concerned or negative about the Crossfires going down in value. When was the last time you heard of a automobile that did not go down in value as soon as it was driven off the lot.
How many of you remember the Superbird, it took three years to clear the lots, the Barracuda, the Superbee, the Roadrunner? None of these were big sellers but they are worth a couple of dollars today. Chrysler has always been known for innovation, performance and styling. How many people do you know that even heard of a Crossfire before they saw yours?
I also do not believe that problems are that bad. It is just that now days we share that information on a Forum. This is a good thing both with awareness and making it easier to find solutions. Bottom line, enjoy your automobiles, keep sharing and be happy that you have a very fine automobile to enjoy.
There, I feel better !!! HAVE A HAPPY.

I don't really care about the cars depreciation value, since I paid $18,000 for a car that originally cost $34,000, and if you bought the slk320 new that would of cost you $48,000 - $50,000, so I'm really not feeling the pain of the cars value loss.
I can put up with the goofy problems, I just wished I had a back seat. It's hard to complain about the XF when I can get 30 mpg and 215 hp.

ZERACER,
Amen to that! I did not buy my Crossfire with the hope that it would appreciate in value. I bought it because I loved the design and the performance is incredible. If it does happen to appreciate in value sometime down the road, that is just icing on the cake.

Well our love and passion for our XF's is spreading in AZ.
I have seen more on the street now than ever before.
That is only 4 in my area but it is three more than I
saw a year ago.

Amen! We are the fortunate few. I believe this is one of the best cars I have owned. I have driven it daily since the day I bought it. On my second set of tires, no flats, and the only problem to date was a seeping oil temp sensor, which was replaced overnight (had to get the part from the depot). And, the dealer service, as I have written before, has been outstanding. I just finished waxing it and I still enjoy the look as much as the first day I saw it.
Enjoy, we only live once.

I could not agree more... here is my take on the XF,
I have a roadster and the license plate says XF1... the reason is I hope to have a coupe named XF2...
Two Crossfires !!! That's what I'm talkin about...

I'm keeping my eyes out for a good deal on a coupe and maybe I'll take the plunge. Almost all of them are very low mileage. The Mercedes engine should be good for 300K+ with maintenance. My other issue is inside storage. I refuse to mess one up by storing it outside, all of the time. Even with a car cover, it is hard on them.
