Default Hello I am new owner as of 4/2 Roadster LTD

I just purchased an '06 off the show room floor for my wife. We had '05 300C nice car but the kids are grown and the wife said it's too big for her everyday driving so... I am really impressed with the deal we got on this Xfire (shocked is more like it). I do have some questions... Why no automatic headlamps? why sometimes when I close the door the lamps come on for a few minutes than go off. How does this vehicle do in all kinds of weather? I'm sure I'll have more questions I have been reading here quite a bit picking up tips here and there. Any info you have for me as a new owner is appreciated.

Welcome ciavarl...glad to see you made it here from the topix site. There is a wealth of info and knowledge here. The headlamps have a time delay and also the radio, the headlamps will light your way for a few seconds. I guess DChrysler did not want to spring the extra $$$ for DLR's, the car at inception was considered by many to be over priced I paid over $41k for my Roadster Limited in 2004. Well worth the price tag IMHO, you are getting an MB SLK in Chrysler clothing. The car is fine in the rain, but it is not a snow car. Will handle well in light to moderate snow, but it is warranted to get a snow tire set up for really harsh conditions.

I drove it in the winter and had no problems at all. As long as you are smart about it the car will handle well in the snow.

I had mine out in the snow for the first time this winter, Got stuck 2 times, in less then one inch of slow/slush. If you are going straight at about 15 mph you might be ok. But if you have to stop on a road with anywhere near a inch of snow, be prepared to get out and push. But like he said get a winter tire set up. I'm going to shop around this summer for a good deal.

Congrats on the purchase. Bought mine, I mean my wife's roadster in fall of '06. Couldn't see driving it in the snow and salt so parked it. Any chance I get I steal it from her, almost feels like I'm 16 again with a new license. The owners manual is full of info definitely worth the read.

Haha. Had to chuckle at that.
Asked a neighbor about his Crossfire today.
He said that his wife allows him to ride in it . . . sometimes.
