Default Thinking of renting one and got a ?

Hi,
I have search all over internet for a picture or answer to this question. Couldn't find the answer anywhere... so figured what a better place to ask then here...

I am traveling to orlando in about 6 days and will be staying for a week. I have a G6 rented right now but for $100 dollars more could upgrade a crossfire roadster for the week. Have always like it and would like to rent it while my wife and I are there...

Question is... Luggage... Should have one big bag and then two smaller like carryon size bags...
It looks like in one picture I saw on car listed on ebay, that if the top is up that the rear wall of trunk can be moved back so could hold more in trunk then move it back when need to lower the top. Is that true???

That would be great if did that so could go drop luggage off and check in resort, then while we are down there could drop top when want to enjoy car and weather in orlando.

Thanks for anyone's help didn't know where else to find answer except for someone that has one,

Rodney

True. The trunk has a partition that needs to be in place when the top is down. When the top is up, you can fold the partition up and almost double the space.
What size bags are you taking? My roadster is in the garage and I'd be glad to measure for you.

Cool... That would be awesome...
I even went by local dealership today and of course they didn't have one in stock and salesman were complete idiots.

The bags I am carrying are...
The big one (my wife's of course... LOL) laying on back is 30 wide X 20 Deep and 11 tall.

Second one is 23 wide x 15 deep and 9 tall.

and then smaller third one is 16 X 13 X 6 but my wife could hold it in her lap for trip from airport to resort if it wouldn't fit in trunk...

Thanks so much,

Rodney

With the partition folded, I think you may be able to cram it all in there.
Here are the dimensions of the trunk, that way you can see for yourself:
The trunk is about 35 inches wide (side to side) and 24 inches deep (back to front).
You will have about 12 inches of depth (top to bottom) at the rear of the trunk and about 19 inches of depth at the front of the trunk.

Think it will fit?

Give me just a couple more minutes. I'll measure the actual trunk hole to see what fill fit through it. Be right back. . .

OK. Not sure if your stuff will fit through the hole itself:
You will have about 12 inches front to rear, about 22 inches width at the rear and about 31 inches width at the front.

Might fit... but might not... LOL probably be a tight fit if will fit.
Worried about that big bag...

I called the service counter at alamo and they changed my res. to the crossfire but put the G6 as back up... They said that happens alot that people show up and then realize the bags won't fit... So they allow a back up reservation.

Thanks so much for help now I know there is a possibility it will fit and what I have to work with... Might see if a family member has a little smaller big bag and could take another really small extra bag for wife... Think I would have room for extra small bag if could get big one in there.

Thanks again for help would have never tried it unless you helped,
Rodney

Do as I did when I rented a Crossfire, pick it up find out the luggage won't fit, call a cab, send the wife and luggage to the resort. Drive the Crossfire top down and do the same in reverse when going home! But let your wife drive the Crossfire for an hour each day and she will buy you one when you return home (IT WORKED FOR ME).
