Default One touch top?

Does anyone know if there's an accessory or mod to make the top mechanism one-touch?

Thanks.

Nope.
It would have to be quite a device/mechanism since the top has a central latch above the windshield.

I think thesebastiancat may have been referring to just the push button portion of the process. I still find it a bit odd that you have to hold the button down the whole time the top is being raised or lowered.

That makes more sense - .

I thought there was a company that makes one. It was posted on here a while back, but I can not recall the name.
I suggest to do some more searches on the subject. Seems like I recall forum member 'Maxwell' being the poster. I could be wrong though.

Good luck.

Cool Re: One touch top?

I think this is the module that was discussed in a past thread.

Has anyone installed this on their Crossfire yet?

Hmmm...pretty cool, but for $300 I can be persuaded to hold a button down for 20 some odd seconds.

Just a thought...when I rented a roadster I seem to remember that the switch on the console was the same shape as the power window switch. It doesn't have a detent for raising but will hold when going down. Do you think it would work?

.

Thanks guys,

Mike-in-Orange was right, I was just looking for something that would prevent me from having to hold the button.

I noticed that on the Smart-Top site they mentioned that the SLK roof mechanism and switch are directly connected, so maybe it is not possible.

That Smart Top controller seems to do a lot more though.
