I purchased the missing grill from the dealer, and I learned it arrived today...I might need a special wrench?

i will order one more..." built by Mercedes Benz" emblem tomorrow

I have the dash apart > I took out the Light module swapped it with a Cdn member who doesnt like his daytime lights.
That should arrive tomorrow.

I have yet to install the lighted wind restrictor.

I'm waiting for some of that balmy weather, but getting lots of snow....
You will like the lighted wind restrictor. I have mine illuminated with the top up. It blows drivers away to see the red crossfire that looks like it is floating inside the rear window.

You may order them directly from the Chrysler dealer. Keep in mind they are black with Silver lettering.

The emblem I'm talking about says " powered by Mercedes Benz and is about 6" long.

I ended up placing one on each side below the fender vents on the body panel which is angled so when you walk past it is clearly visible. It looks like it belongs there verses higher. The thrid one I placed on the drivers side below the tail light.

I purchased mine in Canada Part # 5124317AA 02D01 Nameplate List= $9.95 Net = $8.46

Doug

Great idea Jaded, any pictures of your installation on angled area below fender vents would be appreciated.

Go to post #7 here and see where I placed mine (SSB)
I recommended this to Jaded as well. I discovered these last year on a Crossfire that attended the Woodward Dream Cruise. They have been shown on this forum going back a long time now.

I might be the guy that VALKRYDERGUY was talking about form Woodward - attached are pics of my MB emblems (BTW, they can be purchased at your local Freightliner or Sterling truck dealer for a little over $4/each...they are adhesive and about a 1/8" thick (from memory))

Yes that was your car I first saw and admired those emblems so much.
Those are different than the ones I got but I love them the same.
Be sure to go to the Woodward 2008 link and book your room at the Marriott . I have provided a post with all the info and links you need.
See ya there !! Gary

Thanks for the pics Jaded. I think thats a great location for the emblem. Looks professional like it belongs there. I got my Powered by Mercedes emblems and intend to put them in the same location when the weather warms up. I may also put one on each side of the engine cover under the Crossfire logo. I may have to drill and screw them down with small black headed screws on the cover as the surface is curved and the heat issue.

You live in on of the most scenic areas of the world. We love the Canadian Rockies and Victoria B.C.

I have this same question. I want the Mercedes Emblems (2) & the Crossfire replacement emblems. Do I understand there are replacement emblems for the steering wheel also? I can't wait.

I was salivating over a Bently roadster in traffic the other day and noticed that its emblem is not unlike the Crossfire's with just merely a "B" in the center. The font just let you know it was a Bentley. But I digress....

The wing design in auto design originated in the art deco, 1920 to 1939, and was used by many manufacerers including Cadillac (see my user gallery). Our Crossfires use many art deco design features. See my thread " Retro Examples" maybe you could add some.

I intend to put my Powered by Mercedes emblems in the same location as jaded1958cars as soon as the weather warms up. I also want to replace my wheel center emblems with Dan's black and silver emblems. I haven't made up my mind yet on replacing the front and back Chrysler emblems. I will post some pictures when completed.

Ever wonder what will happen if you over re-bagde? Your car gets stolen and it's badged out as a MB so the police are looking for a MB? Not that anyone would speed or anything but your registration says Chrysler and car is marked MB? I to have the powered by sticker but have seen total MB makeovers headrests, hubs, and all exterior badges....is this even legal? I know you can't sell it as MB.
