I asked local & state police and they said it would not be a problem. State trooper said it was not bright enough.

 

Apparently there aren't many, if any tickets being handed out because of Windrestrictor leds or we would hear somebody complaining on this forum.

 

I left the door open overnight while I was installing the required light switch (daytime lights) and wind restrictor. I was also opening and closing the top, and had various lights on.

 

Just installed the windrestrictor in my wife's new red roadster. (Bought it for her birthday.) Had a heck of a time hooking up to the running lights. Tried to follow the included instructions, but found it was easier to remove the tail light to attach the wire. We'll see how things go and whether or not I install the cut-out switch. Love the look with the etching and how it lights up. Only have the silhouette, my wife didn't want to obstruct her vision. Looking forward to adding some other improvements.

I suspect that will drain the battery.

A couple of nights ago I forgot and left the Windrestrictor leds illuminated and a couple of hours later my daughter asked me about the light in my car was. I wonder if the battery would have discharged with just the Windrestrictor leds on? As leds don't require much power, the battery may have been adequatelly charged to start the car the next morning (if she hadn't told me about the light being on).

How good could it possibly be? They don't make Crossfires any longer.

 

I decided to change my method of powering my LEDs by installing a plug to use cigarette lighter whenever I wanted to illuminate my wind resistor. Works fine and only when I want it to.

 

I'm thinking she has many posibilities none of which involve large chunks of change...But that's a guy thinking

Just did my install. Getting it mounted took a whole of 10 minutes or so (most of that to find the hex wrenches in my father-in-law's shed). Had some issues getting the lighting working (was attaching to brake lights), but once I checked with Stephen @ King Penn, he made some recommendations and I fixed it and was up and running.

Just brainstorming when I should be in bed....

Has anyone wired it to the far counterclockwise position of the switch, or the "double" foglight positions that aren't used? I'm thinking out once for foglights, twice for foglights + deflector. And, I don't know if it will work, but if the lights come on when the dial is to the left, that could be when the lights turn on.

 

Please tell me where you purchased the wind restrictor
