Saw 2 new '08 roadsters in the lot
I was walking through the parking lot today on my way into to work and...sitting side by side were a Black and a Bright Silver 2008 Crossfire Roadsters! I asked around who the owners were and they were two supervisors in my area. I tracked one guy down and he said that he had his Bright silver one for about a month now but had just drove it into work today because it was so sunny. He had a 2005 Roadster and missed driving it so he ordered the 2008.
Didn't think any of these new '08 Crossfires were for sale in Canada??

The Canadian Chrysler website has no reference to Crossfires at all anymore - how did you source the 2008 Canadian spec roadster? Was it in dealer stock, or did you order it?
Corporate Lease.

I was walking back from lunch today and saw yet another '08 Roadster (red one) parked in the company lot, Vin number ending in 075657, that's 3 in aweek?
08_xfire do you work at the Windsor assembly plant? If so is that your Black 08 outside of the Paint plant?

I work at WHQ and there are about 5 Roadsters here.. Two black one, Silver, Red and Blue. Do you have an 08 Roadster as well?

:0( No my wife has a '05 SRT6, I bought her a Yellow "05 off the Company lot last May for her birthday. We went to the Woodward dream cruise and she saw Frank's Graphite Metallic Gray xfire and said that it sure looked nice in that color!
I went to work the next day and what do I see in the Company lot?? A Graphite Grey SRT6, sooo I call the dealer and ask what kind of deal they would give me on the Yellow roaster, I had bought only 4 months ago. well long story short she has a graphite Grey Srt6
.
I get to drive it maybe once every two weeks or so!!

Production for the new model year usually starts in July and ends in June, the following year, though sometimes a company will bring a model change out starting in Janurary but this isn't to often.
Therefore your '08 or what ever could actually be built as early as July of the past year, in this case July '07.

Not true...........you are looking at the last 6 digits of the VIN# and that has no relative significance to year. There were plenty of 2007's built with 06xxxx numbers and then continued into 07xxxx All the 2008 models have VIN#s ending in 07xxxx.
What you need to check is the numeric digit immediately in front of the X (8th last character of VIN#) and that is the model year code.
2008 models were all produced in the 07 Calendar Year, ending just prior to Xmas.
One last point that is very important............Chrysler did not sell off any 2007's as 2008 models. The 2008 cars were actually designated and produced as numbered '08 models direct from the factory.

It is still not clear to me in this thread, how come there are so many 2008s found in Canada and appear from the posts that are Canadian cars. My dealer made it very clear to me that they could not order a 2008 and the Chrysler.ca web site makes no reference to the 2008. Are Chrysler Canada employees getting these cars from south of the border or are they getting special order treatment in Canada?
I'm Canadian and I need to know what's up..

There are a bunch of dealers that still list the 08's available in Ontario and Quebec on their independent sites. Not sure for sure that's it accurate but you could try one of them. Might be others with a quick google search
