Now just need to magically make them install themselves...

Looking at the D-ring, it has a hole in one side at pivot point.
Need to remove D-ring to remove/replace the latch mechanism and fit it through hole in header.

Must be a set screw or a pin?

service manual :
1. Rotate release handle clockwise to gain access to the set screw .
2. Remove the release handle set screw.
3. Rotate the release handle back to its normal position
and remove the release handle.

Was ist los?
Morons in Germany need a swift kick in the swastika. (again)

The access panels SHOULD be accessible while top is up!
Design error.

page 23-530 instructs to "partially remove top/cover to access the linkage assembly."

Image shows canvas peeled off, and top is up and latched.

Again if the header "access panels" would be accessible from inside the vehicle with top locked down, then adjustments Could be made to linkage...this is a BAD DESIGN.

Thanks alaxfire,
The set screw image has the guy using an allen wrench...really what size?
Manual is as poor as the design.

Hello ...ran across this thread while searching for an answer to my situation...
convertible top must be naulayy operated ...
In so doing, I've gotten it up and stowed... So far so good

I do not have a multifunction tool
the main problem for me is the nut or lock to secure the tonneau cover is larger than 10mm and it is the only nut I see

Am i missing something ...is there a parts diagram I can review?

Thanks in advance for any help

Well, it's not actually a nut, it is a flat ground into a round shaft, and it IS 10 mm.
