Thanks mate. One more question since you've been in the biz. Just
how far away does the average radar detector sense the presence
of K band radar? Or Laser or whatever other new stuff that the
smokeys have. When this guy gets busy he is checking everyone.
He'll be standing there pointing that gun for a period of time. Only
need to know he is somewhere on SR200 ahead of me so I
won't step on it. If he's there I will stay in geezer mode the whole
7 miles to downtown...

well, here's the quick version...whether K band or any other, leaving out Laser...it takes the larger object out front, so if you are in front of a tractor trailer, I will get the T/T...most of us, while moving leave it off until we see the speeder, then, instant on, instant reading, thus thumb faster than foot...if stationary, same thing, leave it off until I see violator...now with that said, you might pick up my signal down the road to warn you, but I am busy w/ a speeder anyway...so it really didn't matter...laser, is dead on...tight signal able to shoot between vehicles so larger vehicle doesn't apply here...

oh, as for distance...depends on traffic and terrain....a half mile at most on clear road...

Thanks mate...1/2 mile probably not enuff time for me to get off it.
