Default Bearing roar at low speeds on smooth asphault

Notice what used to be called a bearing roar in the rear end of my 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It was from the rear end, and everyone knew that 96 Jeeps had that problem. But the Jeep ran forever so it wasn't a problem, just that rear end was noisey. I have a similar sound in my Crossfire but it is much less, and only hear it when I am slowing down from 30 or so miles an hour on a very smooth road that runs beside Wally World. It is gone everywhere else. Anyone experience bearing noise on very smooth roads at low speeds when you go to turn a corner or slow down?

I notice the same thing (a hum/vibration) around 25mph and was wondering if that was normal...

I have something similar, but the noise has different sounds on different surfaces. I suspect my noise will go away when I replace the rear tires.

I thought it might be my tires, the compound on the Contis is pretty hard. I don't think it is a defect just part of the personality
of the Crossfire. Just wanted to comfirm that others hear a similar sound...thanks...

this is usually a tire prob, lift the car off the ground, and run the rear wheels up to speed. if its still there, its bearing, if not, its tire. the frons, u can spin them by hand. if u feel or hear grinding, its bearing

Personally I would go for tires. But I have seen some wasted bearings quiet as a mouse when no weight is on them. Don't let that fool you.

I don't think your tires are directional, rotate the rears side to side and see if the noise changes or goes away.
