2007 vert
I have found a 2007 base convertible with 2100 miles for 18991.00. Do you think this is a good price? Car is like new condition (should be with low miles).
It sounds like a great price, particularly for this time of year. I guess your location could make a difference, it seems like the West Coast is a little more expensive. You still have a few months of great top down weather even if you are in the Northeast
Go for it, you'll love the car!

Thanks for the reply, I do have a 96 miata at this time so I have been able to enjoy top down summer. I like the miata but my wife thinks its to small.

Oh yeah. Have you test drove yet ? .....HEY FOLKS... another CONVERT coming !!!!... Serious...I guess it all depends on where you are ...and what the car is worth. Check Kelly Blue book on line. I got mine 2005 with 38,000 for almost $14,000 so judge from there. Two years newer..less miles... I'd be hard pressed not to. But that's a personal choice you'll have to make... I just LOVE the car..............
Just to let you know...don't know how much you know about the history of the car...it's actually a mercedes benz SLK with a chrysler body. it came about when Chrysler bought Mercedes Benz...a joint venture is you will... Under the hood and most of the maintenance is exactually as the SLK model for Mercedes. Performance wise...in my opinon ranks right up there with porsche. Even the base model you'll love to drive. Miles differnce from the 96 miata...you'll park it.....
Highly recommend you test drive... don't just do city drive...take it out on the high way and don't be afraid to open it up...gear wise..it'll take it...60 in second can be done... that car will do 0-60 in 6.5 seconds....
My consern is that folks middle income level is to understand you are buying a SPORTS car. Not the normal "gorgery getter". Means maintenance cost isn't the average. Example..oil change requires 0-40w Synthetic oil ( 8.5 qrts with filter change) that type of stuff.
But shoot...test drive that puppy...you'll understand the difference....
Hey...good luck..happy shopping !!!

It's a non se base model. I did drive it, I have also driven two other convertibles and three coupes. The Crossfire is a great car. Does anyone know the difference in ride quality between the srt-6 vert and the standard vert.

To be honest, does the year model really bother there? There's pretty much no difference in the actual cars...
For 19k you could pick up a nice 05/06 limited roadster, or hell even an srt-6 coupe or srt-6 vert with a few miles on it..

I think that's a pretty good price for a roadster. I just purchased SRT coupe with 1500 miles with navigation for $21K early July. I thought it was a fair price - even if I paid too much I cannot believe I can have this kind of performance for a $20K number.
When I was looking I set a price of $20K and was open to a purchase of either 2007 Roaster or 2005 SRT. A big plus with the 2007 is a longer warranty as mine will expire April 2009. The suspension is stiff on SRT but that's part of the fun factor. You'll have less powerful engine without supercharger but you'll have smoother ride and a convertible. I've driven the base 210 HP coup and it's by no means a slow or low performace car. A lot of the crossfire performance is the huge wheels and a 2007 Roaster will hold the road and corner great. You're not going to be disappointed buying the 2007 Roaster. What's your risk someone else finds one $1,000 lower? There are folks who paid a lot more in the early days and interesting enough they too seem satisfied with their purchase.
If automatic with navigation even a better deal with such low miles. I'm surprised how much I like the automatic on SRT. I'm guessing your 2007 is 6 speed manual which is also quite nice.
