How distracting is the lighting at night when driving?

I wouldn't know, but there are multiple options from having a switch to having them hooked up to your break lights.

Anybody out there have a lighted one?

Mine is not as elaborate as Erzer's, but I like it nevertheless. It looks great at night.

Mine is illuminated and I don't find it distracting at all. I also purchased Red,White, blue and green lite strips so I can change colors. I have mine hooked up to a cigar lighter adapter so I only use it when I want. Right now I have two red, two white and two blue LEDs in it, so it is red, white and blue across the windscreen. I guess if someone was really creative you could actually have it change colors as you drive. I get people pulling up next to me all of the time asking where I got it. They are real attention getters. If there were more of us, in one area, you could have them with a club Logo like the old days when car club members had club license plates in their rear windows.
I guess that is the price you pay for owning a rare gem !!!!!!!!!!
