Default Side Mirrors

Hi All – I have never seen anything on this subject. It appears to me the side exterior mirrors are breakaway or folding mirrors. I'm I correct or just imaging this.

Victor, you are correct. Both mirrors will fold in, toward the window. I found a gentle lift and then turn worked well. Helps if you have a tight parking space or small garage.

From the manual

Exterior Mirrors Folding Feature
All exterior mirrors are hinged to move forward or
rearward to resist damage. The hinges have three detent
positions: full forward, full rearward, and normal.

Compared to other folding mirrors I have had, mine are quite stiff and would suffer a bit of damage before they folded if I were to swipe something.

I twist mine facing down every time I wash my xfire so the water drains from inside the mirrors and so I can dry the torx bolt heads so they don't rust. The water just sits in the holes for the bolts from rain or washing.
