Default New 05' Roaster owner!!

I would first off like to say I LOVE THIS CAR. my parents tell me that i'm only allowed to drive this car on the weekend but i make excuses to drive it all the time... well most of the time!

But i'm having a few problems...

About 2 months ago out of no where I would hear rather loud rumbling noises while i drove. you know when you put music up really loud and it has a lot of bass? well it sounds like that and the entire car vibrates. you can feel it. it's not a constant thing but it's very random. i'm not too sure what it could be and i was wondering if this happens/has happened to anyone else.

ALSO, for some reason... my trunk doesn't lock. HAAHHA. does anyone else have this problem??

Not sure if it's applicable......because I drive a ROADSTER.......the roaster stays in the kitchen.

I have a little "buzzing" when the stereo is way up....I think it's coming from the inner door skins.

The trunk issues that I have heard of are the trunk not unlocking....just the opposite of your problem. It might be cured the same way though.....try locking the car while you're pushing down on the trunk. see if that makes a difference.

The trunk locks when you arm the alarm!! Try to open with the alarm on.

Welcome to the forum. You will enjoy going topless even in the winter, with the windows up and the heater on. Enjoy that new ride. Where does a 3,000 pound roaster go? Any where it wants.

Thanks apkano I'll try pushing the door down while i lock the car. The vibrations I get happen when there's no music, music on low volume, or blasting. haha. it's very very random so i'm not too sure what to think of it. haha

Maybe check your tires and alignment.

I have Goodyear F1 A/S tires.......they tend to make some vibrations on certain types of pavement. At times it even makes my radar detector vibrate against the windshield.

Has this turned into a cooking forum?

Congrats on your new ride! I think the noise is your tires too. How much wear do they have?

Flan!? Not me! I do have a killer rock salt prime rib recipe that requires a roadster. Opps, I mean roaster.

Roaster? I don't even know her!

Regular flan and teriyaki marinade...those I can handle. Will test out my 2 year old roaster in a few weeks....still can't get my turkey to brown properly.

Back on topic...welcome to the forum. I've been driving my Roadster every day since gas hit $3.25 a gallon. With regular pressing $1.90 in my area I'm considering a return to my Dakota....weather is turning, as well, and once the white stuff threatens the Roadster doesn't leave the garage until salt is washed away after the spring rains.

They're brand new tires. My dad just bought them.

First of all, WELCOME to the forum! There are some great people and a wealth of knowledge here.

As far as the noise you are experiencing goes, you didn't mention if you have the auto or manual. If you do have the auto trans, I am willing to bet that THIS is the cause. It is pretty common.
