At one point everybody raved about the Ragg Topp Protectant product. I put the stuff on the other day, and not all that happy with it. The stuff is basically paraffin and naptha (wax). It is probably a great thing to put on fabric, but it collects lint and dust like a magnet.
For you guys getting the 303 stuff, look at the can and tell me what's in it.
Thanks.

An interior shop on the southside of Atlanta carries 303. I got the spray bottle of it for $25.25 including tax. Can't think of the name of the place, but if anyone want to know, just ask and I'll go look up the name and post it.
I'll try to remember to look on the bottle for what's in it when I get home tonight.

Please follow up. Thanks.
::EDIT:: whoops. Thanks Erzer. You posted the info just as I hit the button. Looks like the 303 is an oil-based film of protectant (hydrotreated distillates and kerosene), rather than wax (paraffin). I'd personally go for the 303 instead of the wax-based Ragg Topp. Seems the wax in the Ragg Topp really attracts and captures dust and lint more than the 303 should. Just my opinion. Both should offer good protection, but next time I'm going with the 303.

I used the 303, picked it up from a pickup truck supplier locally, so if you want it fast, search for local suppliers.
Anyway, I love the look on the top and the amount of beads is wonderful; just tap the top a couple of times and it runs off.

The bottle says to apply on a "full sun, hot day" or something like that "for best results". The weather is NOT giving me a chance to do THAT. Might still let this wait a while.

THanks, just what I wanted to hear!
I'll TRY to put mine on tomorrow and friday night - it'll be in the 70's or 80's in the garage. GOt a weekend trip planned and I'd like to have it done before I go.
EDIT: And you just spray it on, right? No rubbing/buffing/etc. ?
EDIT AGAIN: Earlier post answered this in the affirmative.

Yea, I think I like this stuff. Did the first light coat tonight. Gonna let it dry till Monday, then will take it outside and put on the second coat and let it sit all afternoon to dry in the sun.
(Yea, Deb - that's right - headed out on a 550 mile trip tomorrow in the PICKUP! I want this done, and besides, the weather is gonna be AWFUL for this trip. The car is "offline" till the top is treated and dry.)

Interested in others experiences, but I washed the car this past weekend, including the top. When initially rinsing the car, the 303 performed great with lots of water beads allowing the water to simply run off the fabric. Proceeded to wash the entire car (including the top). Upon removal of the car wash suds, no more beading, like I never put on the 303. Looks like I may have just washed off the protectant? If so, no big deal as Ill simply reapply. Just need to take caution with future washes.

That doesn't sound AT ALL like other's experiences.
Just finished my 3rd coat last night and have the car sitting outside in the sun! It's about 75F and the humidity is under 45%!!!
We'll see what I get....
