Default Rear glass tint, or no tint?

Not sure if I should tint rear glass or not? Thinking this due to rear glass coming unglued issue. The rear glass will get very hot sitting in the South FL sun due to the fact that it's now darker and will be reflecting the heat back through the glass.

Any FL people here with the rear glass tinted? Any issues?

Mine has been tinted (20 percent) for a year here in Oklahoma with no problems yet. However, the only time it sits in the sun with the top up is at work - the rest of the time the top is down or it's in the garage.

Tint will help keep that hot FL sun out of your car, trust me. It will save fade on your interior as well, the only downside is visibility at night, but I would still say th benefits outweigh the lost vis, just my .02

For night time, the only reason to have the top up is if it is raining.

I would think that the tint will do just what they claim-reduce interior temps. I would think that a metallized coating (silver or bronze) would help reflect IR as well as UV. I wouldn't think twice-seems an easy decision.

I will be doing this to my roadster this summer as well. Just for looks-mine is garaged 99% of the time.

Thanks for replys. Decided to tint rear window. Yes it keeps the car a little cooler. I have tinted the windows in all my cars since moving to FL. I know this will make the glass get hotter and my concern was the glass seperating from the soft top. If it happens, it happens, I guess. Will deal with it then.
