I see many posts mention how many models of their cars were made. How is that information determined? Is there some Chrysler database somewhere?

I am trying my best to 'splain to my attorney and the insurance company just how collectible these cars are. Can anyone tell me where to find the model production numbers for my "former" baby?

No productions numbers were ever made public. I understand that it may be something that Karmann has info on and the hope is they would provide them. There is an insurance company that insures them as collectible as they are out of production and there were a limited number of them made. The hitch is you have to have it as a pleasure car, so that if you and say a wife each have your daily driver cars the XF would be a third car at an address where there is only 2 license drivers. In our case our daughter has a license so even though she has never and will never drive the XF, we can't get the policy, which is a mega amount of savings on the cost of the premium. Shoot the kid doesn't even have a job, but it is true she "could" take a key and drive it without permission. Now that would be a crime, it's manual, she's never driven stick- can you image the transmission after that

 

Use the links below, there is a wealth of info there. Unfortunately there are a lot of Crossfires on the road here in the States and in Europe. The Crossfire is not such a rare car and has not reached collectible status as yet. The SRT6 would be considered the rarest or low production Crossfire and having a 2006 SRT6 would be extremely rare, but there are a few out there. If you added up all of the cars produced (Coupes, Roadsters, Base, Limited and SE models) from 2004 through 2008 there would be over 76000 cars produced, the last 2008 Coupe had a production number of 76046. Now on the other hand the production numbers for the SRT6 are extremely low, 2016 Coupes and 928 Roadsters.

2004 Model Year: (All Coupes "Limited" equivalent) 4X000014 built in January 2003 to 4X025453 (000001 to 000013, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 21 are believed to be pre-production non-saleable test and show cars).
2005 Model Year: (Base Coupes, Limited Coupes and Roadsters) 5X025454 to 5X061056. SRT-6 (Coupes and Roadsters) 5X025366 to 5X061033 built on June 2, 2005.

2006 Model Year: (Base Coupes, SE Roadsters, Limited Coupes and Roadsters) 6X061057 to 6X069949 built in July 2006. SRT-6 (Coupes and Roadsters) 6X061257 to 6X069395 (Roadster) built on June 28, 2006 (Car was sold in Germany). 6X069067 (Last 2006 SRT Coupe) built on June 12, 2006.

2007 Model Year: (Base Coupes, SE Roadsters, Limited Coupes and Roadsters) 7X069950 to 7X074262.

2008 Model Year: (Limited Coupes and Roadsters) 8X074263 to 8X076047 (Roadster) and 8X076046 (Last Coupe) both build on December 17, 2007.

Any idea who might have one of those 2006 SRTs??
