I grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan; which is actually north of Wisconsin, trust me, look at a map, it seems nobody knows the place exists. We have finally settled south of Jacksonville FL, it was 82 degrees today
Although I somehow got talked into going home for Christmas this year
Flying through Detroit to Appleton WI, then through Chicago on the way home. Could I hit another commie hellhole if I tried???

Of course, the weather is even more interesting in Yooperland. I remember an August when the temps. didn't get above 45 for the entire week we were there.

Don't get me wrong, I love the place in the summer, and the people are like nothing else I have come across in the rest of the US, but do to weather and politics I can never go back.
The craziest me and the wife ever got was riding around Augusta, GA with the top down in the frigid winter night temps of 55F with the heater blasting and our winter hats pulled down tight (called a chook in da UP).

We always liked your money, though.
Just tell your friends how to tip though...
Just kidding. But keep your boats at home. Launching a 23' Bowrider for the first time in a year with ~25 real boaters waiting must be a bit embarrassing. (NO Martha-the OTHER left!)
Been there-done that!
