Why? I havent found anything that you really need it for. That is probably why everyone finds them still in the wrapper, stuffed out of the way somewhere.

Open the top??? Maybe with a big can opener.....
Oh, you must have one of those that they ran out of roofs for and use cloth....
The roadster guys will have to answer that one...(but I would guess you could)

180 had a couple of the tools and I am sure if I can get one, a local machine shop can produce them for far less than Chrysler cost
I raise and lower mine all the time (manually) as i am waiting on sensors from the dealer If you dont have a tool (YOU AINT MOVING THE TOP) the dealers can get them 149.00 but it would be better to have one made out of a old (long 12 inch) medum screwdriver ......the open end wrench has to be fairly thin to fit in the gap at the toneu cover.....not sure the size as my car is at home in the garage and i'm at work but i'm sure someone can give you the measurements ......Good luck

The one I have drawn comes from a coupe, they are identical except for the angle of the offset at the end, the one I have drawn is 40 degrees, the other is less. The opening at the end is 10mm (.397") I do not know if the type used matters at all, the other one I had was the type that had a less pronounced offset and it may have come from a roadster.
Two types of tools that is interesting. I took the one out of my coupe and it was 10mm spanner with a part number of A 193 899 03/80.
Would someone please look at their roadster and see the part number on their tool. Perhaps we can add this to our list of parts.
I used my tool when I had to have the car towed and needed to get to the front tow ring. I did not have a flat blade screwdriver in the car.
