windrestrictor
it got here Friday and I installed it right after opening. It didn't come with any instructions on how to wire up the brake light module but I called and they emailed it to me. installation is pretty easy, I did think that the light would be a little brighter, beyond 25 feet you can hardly tell that it is on. My biggest complaint with the windrestrictor is the people that work for them. I looked at the prices a couple of weeks before deciding to take the plunge however once they got my phone number I got SEVERAL calls from them to make sure that I understood how to use the website, once ok fine but they called me at least 5 times, it was almost enough to not buy from them just because of that. I finally ordered and got an email that it could take up to 6 weeks to get here which it didn't. I called them to get a rough idea of when it would really arrive I was told it would ship in approx. 2-3 days and at that time I would get shipping information. I waited 5 days and decided to call back, I then talk to a very rude woman, who basiclly told me that I couldn't have talked to anyone there since nobody would have told me 2-3 days shipping. She couldn't get off the phone fast enough which seeing as how she was the person that was calling my phone to get me to buy from them so many times, really pissed me off because the customer service fell way off after they got their money.
Still I really like the product and seeing as they are the only product like it around guess we're screwed.

I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. I have talked with Stephen Pennington (Director of Sales) on many occasions, and I have always been very impressed with not only their company, but their customer service as well. On one occasion, I took my windrestrictor off to clean behind it, and the hot wire broke off right at the LED board. While this was probably my fault, I decided to email WindRestrictor to see if they had any suggestions of how I could fix it. This was on a Saturday. On Sunday, Stephen emailed me back, and said that they would send me out a new LED strip at no charge. I was not expecting this, and was pleasantly surprised. I am not sure if they have had any recent changes at their company, but I for one am a big fan of WindRestrictor.
As far as the brightness, are you talking about 25' at night? I can tell you that mine is very very bright, and is visible at night as far as you can see the tail lights. If you are talking about daytime, they are not really designed to be very bright during the day.

I'm talking about at night, my light is blue, I know that would not show up as well as red. also the brake module is really really sensitive, it only takes about 1/4 of the entire ***** turning radius to go from off to full brightness.

I was a bit surprised at this posting. We’ve always put forth a lot of effort into insuring our customers are taken care of. I can not conceive what would have been going on if on the phone someone from here was short with you. We have many of our customers that just call us up for no reason just to talk because we are so personable and friendly down here.
Please accept my deepest apology on behalf of the company if you felt anyone was rude to you.
As for the phone calls, I’m very sorry about that also. I hate to think that you received 5 phone calls if every time you answered and told us you were ok? It’s our job to insure that everything is correct with each order and if there is ever any misunderstanding at all we just assume call and clear it up especially if we’ve not received any email responses. We take our work very seriously and when we have customers money we are all about getting it right and making it beautiful!
As for the lighting, please see this video here. If your windscreen does not light up like this then we need to make sure you have the proper set up. Please do not hesitate to call me personally anytime 972-487-5987. We want to make sure that everything works properly and that our customers are satisfied.
We have something brand new coming out very soon and we are very excited about it!
Have a wonderful week everyone.

well after lookign at the brightness on the video everything is appears to be right on that level. should the lbrake light control module only have a small area of range that works or should it leave the light on almost until it is all the way to opposite side of full brightness. Mine stops all light at approx. 70 percent of all the way up
my wife pointed this out to me last night. there is a vast font change from what I have to what are on the pictures on the website
