Default Rear speakers

I have had 06 black roadster limited for two weeks now and absolutely love it. Have a question about rear speakers and the subwoofer that I hope someone can help with.

Most of the sound seems to come from sides and front. When I place hand behind seats on speaker cover I don't seem to feel anything. There does not seem to be a fade control on stereo, at least not that I can find. Is subwoofer located behind the seats? I do feel like I am getting deep base but again only from doors and front. When I look in trunk behind seat I see a hole for speaker but again I don't seem to feel an vibration or anything when I place hand on it with stereo cranked pretty loud.

Thanks in advance.

There is no fader on the stereo, as technically there are no "rear speakers". My understanding is the speakers behind the seats are woofers, so you should hear some bass coming from them. If you have the OEM stereo there is a bass setting under one of the menus, so maybe try setting the bass level higher.

I'm in the process of replacing my factory Nav stereo with an Alpine aftermarket unit that I had laying around. The bass is definitely more pronounced with the Alpine.

If you have a base roadster it may not have the subs mounted. The base cars have all black trim (windshield surround, side strakes, door handles)

If you do have a Limited (with rear subs) this thread should be a big help:

It has been for many here.

The easy way out:
