"Roadster with a Stick"
Nice one, Frank. She loves it and treats it like I do mine.
However, I like but don't LOVE that color, really keep thinking about James1549's suggestion:
Awesome stick version of my car!
But there is also a forum member who has a red one with a stick that I am talking to...
I am SURE that, soon, I will work out a deal with someone... I'll be going thru the Dragon this time with a stick!

Ok, PLEASE, Crossfire Cultists ... I have two roadsters with a stick that are now the priority. Putting the Coupe search on hold for now... I want to make up my mind between two cars.
I have one on the Southwest side of Houston, TX.
I have one in Stoughton, MA 02072 - which is 23 miles south of Boston.
Both are red limited Roadsters with a stick. Can anyone look at them locally for me? Unless a red LIMITED roadster pops up in Georgia VERY soon, it's gonna come down to one of these two.
And again, when I get my "Roadster with a stick" I will go back to looking for a Red Coupe with a stick - which may or may not turn out to be red, in fact.

Mechanically he thinks it's just fine. THis all gives me a problem: while I want a stick, I am spoiled by my "Garage Princess". Therefore, I think I am ending my quest for a "Roadster with a stick" until I find another "Garage Princess" - probably owned by a private individual. (Like a forum member
Every car I have found is "less" than the one I now have. I shall now focus on my second XF - that imaginary Coupe with a 6 speed, under 50,000 miles - for about $7000.
(I TOLD you it was imaginary!)
And thanks to James1549 for putting me onto this...
.. unless i rent a car.[/quote]
That's funny you should say that, all the rental car agencies have to "turn over" cars with more then..and this is a guess... 35,000 miles on them (38 something like that, insurance company makes them swap them out for new modles). If you can find a rental car place that has Xfire Roadster's you may get a better deal from them BEFORE they have to auction them off their lots. I got mine from a Avis rental place in Atlanta. They gave me all the maintenance records...etc when I bought it. I pay'ed $17,000 for it (bank interest an all). OK, it had 36,700 miles (goodness it's a SLK32 in American SKIN - it's just about time to change the BREAK IN OIL..LOL). Long story short, I have a base Roadster 2005 with stick. I bought nearly three years ago now for $17,000. TODAY - I have just about 78,000 miles on it now. Only thing I ever had to do was new tires...that's it out side of the $90.00 oil changes. ! You always hear the dread about "FLEET CARS"...and true enough there are some that get ragged .... I'm happy with mine ! It's a daily driver 5 times a week...94 miles round trip. Don't give up. You sound impatient. If you got the cash in had...check some of the local car auctions !! that's another great source....
