NEW '05 Roadster Limited Questions
Hello Everyone
I just bought my first crossfire after selling my 98 SLK. I have a few question i want to ask first did i get a good deal I bought a one owner 05 Roadster Limited with 79k white looks great and runs prefect It was listed for $13.9k and got it for $7,800 after a local hail storm put 2 small dents in the hood? Second my car fax says their was a transflush @ 65k last year should I believe that or do i need to change the fliter? I did do the 3m headlight fix looks great but i do have the seat problem now and then any fix for that? lastly can you all list items i should look out for and Mods i should do K&N, Nav being my top two items and tires soon. did i miss anything?
Thank to anyone that reads all this and BIg thanks to anyone that responds.

For a roadster in good shape and middling miles, that sounds like a bargain. You should be familiar with care & feeding after having an SLK, since that's what is under the skin. If you can find them, Dent Doctor may be able to remove those dings for next to nothing. Welcome to the forum and a great little car.
LOL..... at first I thought you bought my old car! Same miles and list price.
Actually I got a little pi$$ed when I heard about the dents....... I was going to call up the dealer and complain!
Then I read it was white and didn't have any mods yet.
Still waiting for mine to sell, but it's a little tough selling a convertible 2-seater in Michigan with winter knocking on the door.

The trans is huge. It's a wicked expensive part and I wouldn't take any chances on it. As a stick owner, I don't know what the service intervals are on the auto, but my American cars have been 30k.
Also there are different levels of trans service. Was it actually flushed? Did they replace the filter? Did they just drain the pan?
You might bring it in and have it inspected top to bottom, then you'll know what you have. It'll be $75 well spent...IMO.
Welcome and enjoy the car.

Welcome to the forum and that is a great price. I was told at my local dealership the tranny service interval was 80k. Any one out there verify that?
As for mods I would suggest checking out either a single or dual CAI from Needswings.com. Rob at Needswings is a forum member and a wealth of info for these cars. Either CAI would give more gains than the K&N's.
You may also like a sprint booster. The new adjustable model is sold by SRT SIX another forum member. It takes the lag out of the drive by wire. IMO the car is more fun to drive with the SB.
TVT is another vendor that specializes in mods for the n/a cars. Hope this helps and other n/a owners will chime in. Best of luck and enjoy the Crossfire.

thanks for all the reply's the trans service is 80k but with having the transflush at 65k last year im hoping the filter was changed too im trying to get the place that did it to call me back and tell me if it was just a flush or complete service. I know some cars like my ML320 dont have a Service for trans EVER.

On most cars, a "Trans flush" does not include changing out the filter. I am not a fan of it, I prefer the old way dropping the pan and a filter change.
