Windscreen for my bride
Want to buy a windscreen for my bride's XF for Christmas. Like the idea of a lit one with graphics that is brake actuated. Have heard that the ones that go all the way across do a better job quieting the wind in the cockpit. Any suggestions or advice?
Levin, while there is a cool factor to the lite plastic ones, they don't function as well as the mesh screens. In fact I've read from owners of the plastic ones that they actually increase the wind turbulence in the cabin.
Here's a couple shots of my meshscreen which also looks like it came with the car:

You can get them at Adamesh | auto accessories | jaguar x type | jaguar accessories
Hope that helps!

I have the same one as Inferno and agree with his opinion. It's not flashy but it has a classy look with the leather trim and matches the personality of the car. It is definately one to consider.
I agree the one that Inferno has will do a better job for wind blocking. If you are looking for extra "flash", check out Dynamic Auto Concepts - Your source for high-end Wind Restrictor™s for roadsters. I have had their windscreen on my roadster for a couple of years. I did opt in for the brake light functionality.

LeVin,
I have the acylic version which is backlit in Blue on a white roadster; Looks fantastic. I bought mine out of Texas and I was very pleased. You can install it yourself in 25 to 40 minutes. I think they would do something custom (Gator Face) if you wanted it.
You can tie them into the brake lights and you can run them on a variable current (potentiometer--Sp?); which allows you to vary the current. That is what I wish I would have done--- at night it gets a little bright in the cabin.
