I Stole It!!!
I have been looking for a Crossfire roadster for a couple of months, and I want to thank all of you for providing a lot of helpful information. After searching the entire country, I finally bought a car today. I was really getting pretty tired of looking, bidding on eBay, checking Craigslist all over Florida, and talking to dealers who were asking ridiculously high prices. Anyway, today at 3 pm I spotted a new listing on Craigslist in Naples, FL, which is about 100 miles away from me. I knew immediately that I had to grab this one before anyone else, but he didn't put a phone number in the ad. I replied via email, and thank God, he called me in 15 minutes. I ran to the bank to get a cashier's check, and hit the road within 30 minutes.
Here is what I bought: a 2005 Limited roadster, automatic transmission, yellow with graphite leather, navigation, LOJACK, and just 5149 miles on the odometer. Yes, I said 005149 miles! I have the CarFax, complete service history, and original bill of sale. It is a one-owner car, so the 7 year/70,000 mile powertrain warranty can be transferred. There is just one tiny dent in the right rear quarter panel, that I know will cost $80 to repair in my driveway (paintless dent repair guy). I would post pictures of the car, but it's dark right now so I can't take them, and the seller has already removed the listing from Craigslist so I can't copy his photos. Does anyone care to guess how much I paid?

You're good. $14,000. The seller paid $38,808 and drove the car 5144 miles before I test drove it for 5 miles and bought it. That makes his cost per mile $4.82, not counting gas, maintenance and insurance. I think I got a pretty good deal. Obviously, he didn't.

There's a 2007 Model listed in Jacksonville, yellow, dark slate gray interior, 6-spd, no navi, with 3800 miles on ODO. Asking price is $21k. So you got essentially the same car for a lot less money.
Enjoy your new ride! Come to our ToD event this spring during April so we can see it up close.

Charlie O, like you, I'd been looking for several months, but I had my heart set on a Blaze Red roadster.A few weeks ago I almost went for the yellow one you bought, but I held out and last Sunday an 07 Blaze Red with 24K on the clock showed up on Craigslist at Daytona Nissan for 18K and change. It's so clean, no dings, no chips, no repaint....looks like it never saw the rain. Bought it on Monday, and it's been to Orlando and back, down US1 thru all the beach towns to Melborne and back, and will probably be on the road to Key West as soon as the weather stabilizes.

Regardless of what you paid, you are in for a lot of fun owning one of these babies. I have had mine for a year now and enjoyed it so much. It is my daily driver and the more I drive it, the better it seems to do.
I hope you have many a mile and many a smile with your new toy!
Post some pics so we call all enjoy your ride!

Yea, you did a better than average deal with THOSE miles.
But it DOES go to show you, this time of year is THE time of year to buy a Roadster - but not to sell one.
