It seems like a good idea to keep this car as close to "original" as possible, because of the low miles and the rare color. You never know when I might get the urge to flip it for a big profit. I exchanged emails yesterday with a dealer from Wisconsin who just sold a car that is identical to mine but without navigation, and with 10,000 miles on it, for $18,999.
I agree with you. Keep the car stock, especially if you are entertaining the thought of turning a nice profit in the near future. For what you paid for the car, that should not be too difficult to do come spring time.

What do you mean "caps in the door speakers"

Will do Randy, we have a friend getting his JD and MBA from Miami U, last year when we were there, he was on Miami beach in a high rise, don't know exactly where he is now (possibly still there).

Would love to try and get together, we will be there during the week of the 17th, but for what days, I do not know yet, we are just going to be driving around enjoying ourselves, and I can not think of a better way of doing it than a little XF GTG

$14K, excellent. I just paid $15K in California for a graphite SRT6 roadster in excellent condition with 60K on the clock, 20/19 wheels, lowered with Eibach springs, CAI. Was a nav car now has aftermarket CD/HD radio, but i'm old and not a nav fan. It's a good time to be a used car buyer.

I just picked it up from the body shop this afternoon. I had expected the scrape on the fuel filler door to polish out, but it needed to be painted. Since it was going to the body shop for paint, I had them take care of the dent, instead of using the paintless dent removal guy. $261, and the paint matches perfectly. I transferred the warranty for $150. $14,411 so far. Not bad.

Sounds like you got a good deal on the cosmetic repairs. And the car really looks great, even if it is Classic Yellow! HAH!!

My body shop guy is good, and he's very fair. I became a customer for life a few years ago, when I was directed to him by my Jaguar dealer. My Jag had a dent in the trunk lid from a fallen palm branch, so I decided to get a couple of estimates. One body shop gave me a $500 estimate, and when they explained how they would do the job I immediately knew that they were never going to touch my car. I went to this guy, and he said, "You don't need me to do this job. Here's the phone number of the paintless dent removal guy who I like. He'll come to your house and do it." I thanked him for being honest, and I've been back for small stuff 4 or 5 times. I've also recommended him to several people.

Concerning the Classic yellow, it's a "Florida thing".

A 2007 coupe (non-srt) with auto trans and 3600kms just sold for $32,000 in my country. For the price of one low mileage crossfire here, I could buy two back in the States and still have money left over!

There's a 2007 Model listed in Jacksonville, yellow, dark slate gray interior, 6-spd, no navi, with 3800 miles on ODO. Asking price is $21k. So you got essentially the same car for a lot less money.

Enjoy your new ride! Come to our ToD event this spring during April so we can see it up close.

Hey, where might this ToD event be located, etc.? I'm new to this forum and still trying to fiqure out how to navigate it, and can't seem to find an "events" area... Regards

You can check out upcoming meets (events) a couple of ways:

1) Go to the Crossfire Meets section which has all the thread starters for upcoming GTG's (get togethers). Once you select one, it will take you to the actual thread listing.

2) Go to the North America section. There you will find the various regions which you can peruse through. At the bottom are the threads for the major XFire GTG's that are planned.
