Default Need Advice

Hi guys...I am in need of some honest/candid advice. I've listed a 06 Special Edition (meaning SRT wheels, special chrome, different windshield color) Blaze Red convertible for sale. It has 31,500 miles (as of 4-14-11) It's a 6 speed, its one owner, and I have a $100 deductable Chrysler warranty, I paid $2000 +, good until 06-2014 . I understand that I can transfer this warranty to the new buyer. KKB, as of 4-13-11 had a Private Party cost of $13840. I listed the price originally at $14,500. Would $13500 be more in the ballpark? I've had no action/questions on my initial post.
The question is
am I placing to much emphasis my ability to transfer the warranty? Is the warranty going to enable me to ask more $ for my car?
I've always found the site to informative, entertaining and full of honest/reliable information. So thanks in advance. By the way...I love the car, but recently we have had our granddaughter come live with us. She's 7, lively and adding excitement to our lives and she's more important than a car.

Keep it at that price, $14,500, since springtime brings out higher prices on roadsters. Just make sure its detailed prior to showing it to potential buyers, including the detailing of the engine compartment, "shine does sell". Good luck in your sale. Family does come first!

That is a good price for a SE 6 speed. Don't turn down 14 even though. Yes, the MaxCare Warranty is value added and yes you can transfer to the new owner. I think there is a small fee for that, but not sure.

The grand kids are grand, aren't they?

Kids love driving in convertibles. They are becoming more and more uncommon and it is a thrill for them and a special memory she'll always have. Keep it. My kids still complain that I sold my CJ-7 for a minivan back in 1992.

First off they are not becomming more and more uncommon. They are becomming more common with more and more companies releasing convertable models for 2012 than 2011 and more available in 2011 than 2010.
I feel the price is high being the loan value has a lot to do with car values.
I am seeing more and more SRT's selling in that price range and if purchased from a dealer some of those are available with the warrantees.
Leave it listed at that price but be ready to accept a sensible offer.

Good luck with the grand child. Maybe you could use the car to teach her the impotance of caring for classic automobiles

got to go with Goldwing if you don't have to sell and have the space ( out of the weather) keep it for a while you might change your mind we have eleven grandkids 14 to 22 and they never pass a chance to go with the wife shopping or otherwise in her roadster

Price wise keep the faith I have been looking for a red limited roadster automatic for several weeks for a friend and just by one week missed Pizzaguy's car, 33,000mi for sale for $14,000 he sold it about 5 days earlier to Carmax for $13,500 here in Atlanta it finally went thru their system after about 30 days and ended up on their lot at $18,998 don't know if added new tires or what but that is a 40% mark-up

with the extended warranty included that is a good deal for a buyer

good luck if only it was an automatic!!!!!!

Yeah, I don't understand why having a granddaughter live with you requires the sale of a car. Is she allergic to fun cars, or something? Does she break out in hives every time the engine fires up?

Last month I flew to FL and then drove 80 miles get an 05 Roadster with 17k miles and paid $14,800. I was willing to pay top dollar for a cream puff. There are plenty out there for a lot- and I mean a lot- less.

Before I sell a car, I get an offer from CarMax. Then I know exactly what it's worth and condition and expect to get a minimum of 10%+ more. I consider CarMax pricing to be retail. KBB pretty good for value. NADA is nuts high.

I have an SE and will not sell it. There is nothing to replace it with. It is my most beautiful car. It is red and the top goes down. My priorities are collecting and preserving. The bling can come off easy. I like it. Grand kids may get it. Gary
