New water pump 58,400 miles
New water pump 58,400 miles
Had to give my wife's Hyundai a boost few days back. Opened the hood and one of the pulleys on the Crossfire was making one heck of a racket. Also was quite wobbly. Got car into the dealer. New water pump put on and all new anti-freeze put in. Also had belt changed. Pump covered under max care warranty, only $100 for the whole job. Belt was another $64. Total set me back $179 with tax. Not too bad. And, I had loaner car for two days.

There have been at least three posts of owners with over 180k on their Crossies (one was an SRT6) and none of them mentioned needing a water pump. As a matter of fact, they noted very little in repairs other than standard maintenance. I think this is an aberration.

If this is correct this is a pretty good price for a water pump.
