Convert Top Maintenance Question
Making good progress in cleaning up my 07 Roadster. I need to clean the inside of the top to remove the smoke tar/smell. It looks like a vinyl material. What do you folks recommed to clean the inside?
For the outside it looks like the 303 product is what most folks are using to clean and treat the outside...any other product I should look at?
Thanks

I don't know for sure but i believe that the inside is the same material as the outside which is canvas. i would use the 303 top cleaner on the inside and see if that works to get rid of the smell...
Check with your local detail shops. Larger shops may have a commercial ionizer that will break the odor particles down. I believe that they run the ionizer in the car over night. It is supposed to break the particles down and remove them versus masking the smell. Maybe MikeInOrange can shed some light on this also. You may want to PM him in case he does not see this thread.... I am sure that he has a solution to offer you to this situation.

Best stuff on the market ...bar none. I've used it for the past 5 years and the old rag top looks as good as new. I tried the RAGGTOP brand..don't hold a shine compared to the 303. The product is top quality both the cleaner and compound. It is Marine grade stuff...TUFF.. I have no dis-coloration deep black. Great product.....
