HELP! (please) :)
Folks, it has been a long while. Now I am back on this form again!!!
)
Several years ago, I bought two beauties, a White limited Coupe, and a Blue SRT6 Convert. They have been long gone, and it was a mistake to sell them period! Now I am in the process of buying a nice preowned one. This is the deal though, I CANNOT decide what to go with. The two that I am looking for are both clean cars, both with over 30K miles on them. Here is where they differ.
One is a YELLOW LIMITED CONVERT., the other is a BLUE SRT6 Coupe. Guys/Gals, many of you know your cars by now, many of you might be able to guess on your future investments. May I ask the Forum everyone's thought on which car you would go with? I realize that the SRT is the hand made built engine speeding bullet, but the Yellow limited Convert. is such a beautiful colored car. The engine as I can recall is very different though with responsiveness (sluggish of sorts). Last question, was the Yellow car a rare color, or a special edition of some sort's? (I am just curious if there was ever a production count with that color?) .......Again, I thank everyone in advance. I sure need it

PS
I don't like yellow as you can tell.
TexasTim...I don't see you listed from several years ago, only today...are you someone different now? You have owned these beauties before as you stated, and they haven't changed since your ownership. You have owned both the SRT6 roadster, so the SRT6 coupe will drive and perform just the same. You have owned a white coupe which will perform as the yellow roadster...so, I am a little lost here...TexasTim...2012 coupes in the SRT6 were made...so it is more rare than that yellow roadster...but, roadsters are a lot of fun....performance, or fun....which is it...

Well, I have a 2006Black LTD Roadster. I love it, but I believe that the SRT6 Coupe will start going up in value sooner. The yellow rodaster ,if taken care of will always be a great car and a great value. It is very beautiful.
buttercup, i have been on so many forums, you might be correct. maybe i was not on here previously. if so, i apologize. yes, i like the looks of the yellow, but i realize nothing beats the speed of the srt6's. yes, it is my guess if these beauties would ever start to appreciate someday in value, the srt's probably being more rare than the limited roadsters would appreciate first, it's only common sense. yes, i will admit, i like the yellow color, and yes in texas that might be a problem (lol). the truckers would have to let this daisy pass thru!
seriously though, it is style vs. performance with this decision. i would go with a srt roadster, but truly and honestly? i have never ever liked the limited color choices that chrysler offered. unless i am mistaken, black, blue, red, gray for the SRT's. was that it? i think it was.
.......hey another thought (please), i had a regular saturn sky. my cousin had a saturn sky redline (turbo version). i removed the horrid sky muffler on mine, and placed a nice chrome straight flow-thru muffler which inturn made it (almost) as fast as my cousin's redline, seriously, it was amazing. til this day, i think that it was a way to restict their base sky's. has anyone replaced their stock factory muffler, and replaced it with a non resticted flow-thru muffler? if so, did your car respond any faster? thanks again everyone!! i am having to relearn these cars once again.

ok, thanks for the above info........before i really run this in to the ground, and get kicked out my very first day on this forum due to so many silly questions, .....may i ask again, if the yellow color run was very 'limited' (no pun intended), or a significant reason for this color run? all the other colors seemed to be in the 'darker' meaner color. i just am curious if there were a bunch painted that color or not too many? thanks again everyone for their patience!
I would go with the yellow, but then I'm partial. My son and I flew to Texas to get one because they are rare. Do a search on a few different sites and see how many yellow ones you see. This answers you're question. Another question comes to mind and that is What year is it? The later years are even fewer and farther a part. Take the yellow one and don't look back. The people that joke about yellow in TX would have sold me on it. Sounds like you'd be the only one for miles around.

I honestly can't believe how many owners are so worried about when their car is going to appreciate, or can't decide which one to purchase because of future value! ITS A CAR! Buy the one you like and drive it and enjoy life while you still can. If you are so concerned about investment, run away from the Crossfire as fast as you can, you will never be happy.

I think you will love the car no matter which one or color you buy. Mine makes me smile all the time. I've had a few Vettes, Mustangs, TramsAMs, etc. This car is a better built car than any of the others. I liked them all, but this is a special car, you will really be pleased to drive it when you get the opportuniy. Enjoy, it is about the experience not the investment.

Good advice, this. Forget the investment and just enjoy. Heck, I get a world of fun just cleaning her up, looking it over, and taking a short drive....
James is right... I suspect the SRT Roadster MIGHT be worth some money someday, but in these economic times, all of these cars are a very good buy - even if they don't increase in value.
Buy one, drive it, enjoy it.

in answer to the question you asked 10 comments back
Yes yellow was a limited run color.
The yellow roadster was the first Crossfire I truely fell in love with.
I test drove it, it had 6,000 miles on it, it was basicly new, I bought a Blaze Red coupe.
Coupes perform better as a general ruletherefore have always been my favorite except for the XKE Jag.
If your speaking about collectables, NEVER take color over a model. color is only skin deep.
Get the SRT...
