Saw one on a local Mom and Pop used car lot last Sat AM and picked it up yesterday. Had been thinking about one of these for a while. 60K miles, white/black leather. Pretty cool ride and happy, so far. Always fun to get a new toy.

I came close to buying an Aero Blue Roadster with the White/Black interior.

I eventually passed cause the White interior had some nasty stains on the Steering Wheel and Dash, plus it was Auto. And for what the Chrysler Dealer wanted for it, didn't make sense at the time.

I settled on SSB with Cedar interior and never looked back.

With 60k miles, you'll want to peruse the Forum closely for maintenance tips, especially if you don't have those records available to you as part of the purchase...

Good Luck, and drive it like you stole it, cause you probably did...lol...

 

Congrats on your new purchase!!! You will have a great time with this group of nuts. Your next thing to do is figure out which GTG you want to attend!!! You will love the black & white interior, tough to keep clean but really makes the interior look special.

Yea, I'd check the battery (anything older than 3 years and I replace them BEFORE I run into problems - under $100 at O'Reilly's),

crankshaft position sensor (if you don't replace it, order one and carry it with you - $50 to $65 online),

steering stabilizer (Under $30 online, I put one on at 50,000 miles and the car drives like new - two bolts and it's changed)

and

disable the electric trunk lock (locks the trunk when the top is going up or down, they tend to fail in the locked position - this does not effect the pneumatic lock that operates with the key fob, there is a thread here about it).

That'll get you started!

Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on the Roadster! The car has some quirks, but I love mine, wouldn't take my money back, and I've been offered that. I've only had mine since JAN, but had wished for one since I saw the concept car.

Don't save it; drive it!

Welcome the 'grin like a moron while driving about' home.

I have seen very few (3) other XF's in the Sacramento area. One hard top (white) and a couple of convertibles. And they, like me, were just grinning as they drove.

I took my mom out in it and we came up on a really hard, road being changed, S curve that was marked at 20mph. I glided through it at 40ish while the others were slowing below the 20mph mark. Her comment? "See you have to go 20 because it is too tight to go any faster." I responded to her like this..."Yeah. Good thing we are going 40, cuz it would feel like we stopped at 20." She was surprised. Then she looked around at all the frady-cats slowing down. Then ... she put the same grin on her face.

It was a simple example of how amazing these cars are.
