Default Convertible Flap cable

Has anyone had any experience with replacing the Flap Cable on the convertible top? I found a couple of old threads on the subject, but I did not see anything recent. The dealer is quoting $93.50 for the part, but 7 hours labor to install. In addition, the dealer is telling me the part is not covered by the Max Care 7/60 warranty. I have not checked with the warranty people yet, trying to do some research before.

My Chrysler "Maximum Care" coverage lists:

Adjustable Cup Holder Mechanisms
Center Console Door, Hinge And Lock

Convertible Top Cylinders, Lines And Hinges
Convertible Top Frame, Bows And Rails

Door Check Straps
Door Glass Tracks And Channels
Door, Hood And Trunklid Hinges
Hood Latch Release Cable
Hood Props
Liftgate Props
Spare Tire Hanger / Carrier
Spare Tire Jack
Washer Hoses & Nozzles
Wiper Arm Linkage

But, while digging around on there, I found that the TPMS sensors are covered! Whoo Hooo!

In case you need it ..... check on eBay item #300471143712 Flipper Door Cable. They sell it for $39.99 plus $5.15 for shipping. I've bought a couple of items from them previously, and offered about 20% less. Shoot an offer at $30, and I bet they take it. Even if Max Care covers it, if your deductible is $50 or $100 this would be less. Of course if your plan has no deductible, then all you risk is letting some schmoe work on the car. Unless "special" tools are required (Idoubt it), installation shouldn't be difficult, unless related top mechanisms need to be removed. Just sayin .....
