Default FANTASTIC NEWS - Convertible top repair

Just returned from a fantactic weekend with the Crossfire Club at the "Texas Motor Speedway Crossfire Laps for Charity Event" and collected my Mail. Was I suprised to see a letter from the Chrysler Corporation.???
On opening, I found it to be a letter extending the warranty on the Canvas top AND window to 10 years. Also enclosed was a claim form to fill in and submit, AND even if you had already got it repaired at you own cost, you can submit your claim for consideration. I had not contacted the Chrysler Corporation on this matter, the letter just arrived. I enclose for the Forum Members Information, a copy of Letter & Claim form. The Claim Form did have my VIN number typed in but I have "Whited that Out". Use this claim form at your discretion, but I would ask that NO REFERENCE is made to myself OR this letter.
I should mention, that I had no existing warranty on my car and have NOT had it from new. I am the second owner, so this claim would presumably encompass any Crossfire owner. If you cannot print a suitable copy from the enclosed attachment, contact me and I will E-Mail a copy to you direct.

It seems that Kane will be vindicated. I sure hope to see a similar letter in my mailbox soon!

That's great Terry!
I wonder about DC's '05. Will they (Chrysler), try to find her as well, or should we contact them about ours?

If for any reason the dealer asks for a suggestion on a top, tell them you want the Gahh top - www.gahh.com. It has a lifetime guarantee on the window not falling out. Check out their website.

I had already been taliking to a local uphostery shop about a replacement. He quoted me a price of $1750 for a top he gets from up north somewhere. It had no window guarantee and the top itself was only guaranteed for 1 year. I asked about this Gahh. He said he can get them as well - said it would be $1800 installed. If it weren't for low funds, I would have pulled the trigger but instead, I got our some more 3M.
