Just for the fun of it...
Ok, Going to work about 7AM in the morning...weather is clear, top is down and the temp gage says it is 33 degrees out. Even with heat on (full) and the seats on heat, and my 2 windows up, it was a little cold for me to get to work. I did have just a swaetshirt on, and wore a hat. I think this is my limit though, much colder the roof will just have to come up...what about your "rag-top" fans when is it your limit?
I see alot of rag-toppers have their top ups when the temp is 65 degrees??? go figure!

No doult about it...we are a little weird. I figure if true Harley guys can do it so can we in even better enviroment.
No for the rest of your replys your scaring me.....I do have my baby in a garage and I would never drop the top if below 32 degrees or 0 cel. thanks for the advise who do i pay the .02 cents to? I have to say it will wake you up fast, and the rest of the day is so sunny and 45-55 degrees.

Three Novembers ago I drove from Holland to Ferris State, top down both ways, for a night hockey game. On the way home it was < 30o F. Wife and I bundled up with hats, seats and heats full on. But it did not matter as I was enjoying a victory cigar after Union College beat Ferris. My top only goes up for rain, never for cold. In another couple weeks the twins will be off the road, hibernating.

Actually you do not fit the image in my head of a middle aged Harley rider, you're much too thin for that.
Two words... wind chill. It's not the ambient temp that keeps my top up below 65, it's the freeway wind chill. Of course I could stand it, but my driving would be so impaired I would not be safe.

Come to think about it,,the Crossfire is a big Harley with the Side car built in. Better wind deflection and much warmer (or cooler) in any season. Much more comfortable on long drives but as much fun to drive. And i don't have to worry about the helmet law. Hahahahahahaha,

My Crossfire is a daily drive here in the UK...and have the top down many times in the winter months, maybe you may think im nuts but i enjoy it all year round and never have a problem with the operation of the top.Dont get me wrong i look after her and she is my baby..but dont hide her away for the winter i also have a bike FAZER 1000 but stop using it in the winter when they start to grit the roads as the salt plays hell with the finish...enjoy
UK (NUTS) DAVE....perhaps
