I have to share this funny story. I had knee replacement surgery 2 weeks ago. My kind devoted son flew from San Jose to take care of me. He drove me to a physiotherapist appointment and went off to pick up a coffee. The Jeep would not start when he emerged with his brew. We joke about how my Jeep does not like him, it often sounds the seat belt alarm the entire time he drives it.
In a panic, he bummed a ride home from a stranger and took the Crossfire from its snug storage and raced to pick me up. I was horrified that he was driving my baby, complete with reduced insurance coverage but it was a mild day, dry roads.
Let me tell you, it is not easy to get in or out of the Crossfire with a new knee and fresh 8 inch incision. He had to bend my leg to stuff it in the car and it hurt like hell. He kept saying sorry mom, sorry. The Crossfire is not recommended transit for tall patients recovering my knee surgery.
When he went back to the coffee shop, the Jeep started first try. Probably a new starter in its future.

I have old knees and find ismore and more difficult to fold them up to fit in the Crossie.
No wait, when I had my accident two years ago, I couldn't do t. Still have issues.
So yes, I feel your pain.
Knee surgery is a gamble. I hope you get over yours.
Be well.

I do appreciate the kind offer Larry. I know you are a good friend who would make the sacrifice for a [pal. But,,,,
That said, I'll be coming in the NA. Of the two, it is still my favorite thru the Dragon.
I Had My first P T appointment this Morning and had to get into My Daughters Civic. Even with the seat all the way back I Barely Fit. Not a chance I would try to stuff My 6 foot 2 inch frame into My cross even with the top Down!
Good luck! And I hope Your good Heath returns soon.

Oh - I feel your pain. I had the problem at the upper end - with a broken neck in one of those halo's I had to try to slide into every vehicle head first and sideways. Top down would have been all right, but we didn't have the roadster back then. Otherwise it didn't matter what I was trying to get into - I had a hard time trying to fit. Getting out was equally hard, and once in a car the comfort was non-existant. Take care and don't travel more than you have to. Physio-therapy is also misleading. That therapy part sounds like it could be comforting. Don't let it fool you.
I have to agree with Spark, though. Maybe your son didn't want the jeep to start. (But where would we be without our kids!)

LOL - he drives a spiffy new Subaru WRX in San Jose. He is not interested in my car.
