Default New Crossfire owner

Actually, I'm the husband of a new Crossfire owner I guess. Always kind of liked the cars but never really thought about buying one until yesterday. A local car collector decided to sell his 2007 Limited Roadster and my wife saw it and fell in love with it. Red, fully loaded, garage kept and it only has 21,000 miles on it.

I told my wife I would set her up here so she could learn more about her new pride and joy. I spend most of my forum time on the CVO Harley board so I guess we're even now. Ha ha.

I hope we got a good one. She loves it and I'm happy for her!

Welcome aboard to the both of yas. I'm sure you got a good one. It'd be near impossible to buy a.bad one. And with only 21000 on the clock that makes it even harder to get a bad one. Use the good stuff on it ( oil, plugs, tires and such) and she'll last a good long time. Tis a fun machine for sure.

You will just have to get used to her having "two" loves in her life.

Congrats on the nice find!

I just became a Crossfire owner myself, only a week ago. I actually thought about buying one years ago, but I think I talked myself out of it when I read a few online reviews that weren't real positive. (Specifically, I remember a reviewer saying it was essentially "an old Mercedes Benz with outdated technology in the suspension", and about the non supercharged SRT-6 version, complained it felt underpowered.)

About a month ago, though, I saw a couple of them parked in lots at stores around town, and they looked great. It made me think about them again (and how much I wasn't enjoying the ownership experience with the Jeep Patriot 4x4 I'd been using as my daily driver!).

I found this forum, did a lot of reading, and decided I was going to get one! I managed to locate a rare SRT-6 convertible for sale about 6 hours away from me, but the price was right so I made a road trip and got it! They're definitely a lot of fun, but like any relatively low-production car or truck -- you really need to be an enthusiast about them. Little things like locating replacement trim, levers or *****, if one should break, can turn into a big project. Many seemingly big problems (like the car suddenly stalling while driving it) turn out to have pretty minor solutions, but knowledge is the key to not getting screwed for big $'s by dealers on the stuff.

Location updated in profile. Western Arkansas is home. Land of more drivers roads than you can list.

Drove an 05 LTD Roadster for 3 years and loved every minute of it. What a fun car to drive. Got people staring and commenting on how nice the car looked.
That Blaze Red is a fantastic colour.
You've done well.
Welcome.

Dealership just ordered my new top, again thanks to the forum. I think my service guy said only a couple of hundred on back order, Nationwide.

Tried a little duck tape but I am afraid the widow will pop out if I put the top down and raise it if it rains.
My top is down unless it is raining. Over 3.000 miles since just before the Speedway Meet.

So far set of tires with only a couple of thousand miles when I bought it. New ignition and windshield part of purchase and now a new top. I drive it every day sometimes a little evening cruise even after to and from work.
