Roadster rear window TSB - Rev "A"
Hello,
There is a new rear window TSB out. The TSB is # 23-035-11 rev A. It is basically the same as the original one which replaces any 2005 roadster with the top separating from the rear window. The main difference is that in includes all states in the US. The TSB is the same number followed by a "REV A". I took my car in...I have 28000 miles on it....they took pictures of the rear window separating...in four corners...got approval in a week and had it installed by a third party interior and top shop. They did an excellent job...looks great...and I am now once again a happy owner.
There was no cost to me and it has a 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty. Having it installed by a third party top shop that knows what there doing made all the difference. By the way...I do not have an extended warranty on the car...just the original 3/36 BtoB with a 7/70 power train warranty.

I wrote 4 letters to Chrysler and one to the National Safety Board before I got their attention...and finally made it happen after the new TSB. I live in Pennsylvania. The top is the original material top...but has a border around the inside if the window...I believe for better reinforcement and better high temp glue....but that's just my opinion. The new top came with the TSB which also contained detailed installation instructions as part of the TSB. They are for Chrysler techs to follow and install it. I was lucky in that my dealer agreed with me and sent it out to a local shop that does all their top and interior custom work for them. They were excellent. I was really concerned about the install...but was glad that they decided to send it out. I do not know if this new top addresses the "folds issue" that many have reported with creases forming in the fabric. I guess time will tell.
Good luck to all owners!!!! Let me know how your replacement efforts go.

Thanks for the info,
Mine fell out two weeks ago in the heatwave (I am in Northern VA). Just the bottom holding, top and both sides completely let go. Happened to my wife while I was away on vacation. She spoke to the service guy at the dealer and he said he never heard of this and was going to contact Chrysler. Called him last week and he said it wasn't covered and my wife went postal and pointed out we have bought 5 Chryslers from them in the last 10 years, the last one a month ago. (We still have four of them)
Friday they called and wanted the VIN and said they might be able to do something. I guess this explains it.

How long would this TSB be valid going into the future?? I have an 05 roadster and I religiously check the rear window and it seems fine for now, but who knows about down the road a bit. I live in the Northeast so generally (except today) high temperatures are not really an issue.
If you have a copy, scan it and post it for us, save us a trip to the Dealership.
I do believe there is a mileage limit...mine has more than 100K, and that was supposedly part of the reason they would not approve me for a new top...
Seriously!? How the hell did that happen? One of the things that was pointed out to me was that my car was too old, and had too much mileage...I had 109,000 when I called...
New story. Dealer now says he can't do anything and referred me to Chrysler (1 800 247 9753). They have assigned a case manager to assisit but I won't hear from them until next week.
If the dealer can't help try Chrylser directly.

Thanks for all this information. I have already called Chrysler Customer Service and will print out a copy of the
NHTSA SB 23035-11 RevA.pdf (24.5 KB, 26 views). I expect to hear back from Customer Service on Monday and get this window issued fixed.
I have a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire in Aero Blue and came home from a weeks vacation to see the rear window falling into the back of the car. I was shocked but the heat wave in the northeast probably did this.
