Default Bas/esp light on and rear spoiler fails in the extended posistion

Well we fought with Chrysler and got the top replaced for $500 deductible. Now the BAS/ESP light is on and the wife found the spoiler in the raised position. When she parked it the spoiler was down. Next morning it was extended. It went down when she pushed the button. Has anyone had this problem before? I have read about resetting the light we will try that tonight, but the spoiler is strange. We had the window completly fall out early this summer just before Beryl hit and we flooded out the trunck. We replaced the security module and have not put it back in the bottom of the trunk yet it is in a plastic bag and in asealed plastric box. We did not want to replace it again, until we got a new top. I don't think this would have anything to do with the light or spoiler as we had it like that for a while. Any thoughts on causes.thanks

Check the battery. a haunted spoiler is a sign of the battery about to die. the BAS/ESP light could also be tied to the battery. It could also be the actual brake light switch on the brake pedal. have your wife depress the pedal, if the BAS/ESP light comes on, but you have no brake lights, its the switch.

I leaned toward wheel speed sensors.. then what eight months later my battery gave up.. still have same condition. Now I'm leaning towards the ABS pump / control module. Then I'll lean to the yaw sensor.. Then I'll consider it a "special feature".. LOL

Hello crossfire owners,

Just had the same thing happen to me this saturday, put the top down, went for a nice long drive to the beaches. Went to put the top up and it would'nt go up. The spoiler light was on the Bas/esp light was on. I turned her off, restarted it and everything was fine, has'nt happend again, fingers crossed, I had the battery, starter and alternator cheched by an auto parts store and everything checked out fine. So I am stumped also. By the way I have been a memeber since 2010, and with the information from this site I have been able to fix a lot of annoying little things my self. Thanks for all the great information.
